Do you struggle with building or activating those glutes? 🍑
Yep, I hear you, I could never squat had a flat butt and could never feel it in the glutes until I found the reverse hyper, that machine was amazing, however, most gyms don't have this bit of kit which is a real shame as its great at building the posterior chain ie lower back and glutes.
So instead try grabbing a ball and doing one of these 3 variations.
Aim for 12/15 reps and 3/4 sets as a warm-up before working the lower body.
Tips: Squeeze the glutes as tight as you can, brace the core as you lift the legs up.

16/06/2021

The number 1 core 🍏 exercise you need to be doing if you're not already. The dead bug!

I've included two variations in the video, the first is holding the weight and single legs and the second is both legs extending and the weight being taken over your head.

The one thing to focus on is your lower back, as your leg/legs extend out the lower back will want to arch, focus on compressing it down to the floor as you extend.
If you're knew to these take your time and start with the first exercise and only progress once the core is strong enough.

Hit like and save if you found this video useful ✌🏽

One of my go-to breaky's on a Sunday! Me and hubby love to have protein pancakes 🥞 every Sunday, that's if he's not playing golf and then I tend to just grab a shake and train...
We like to keep them in the oven while he's flippin' the rest if you get what I'm saying, that was it keep them all warm and we can both sit down and enjoy a lovely breakfast together in the morning.
I also use the coconut flavour from I find this works the best for flavour but the others work just as well.

These are of course plant-based and also nut-free.

Hit save and give them a go, you'll thank me later 😂

I thought I would do a post to talk about the current situation we all find ourselves in. For me personally, when I start to feel low or unmotivated I hibernate from everything and everyone, hence why I've not been on here for a while.

Social media is all about being positive and happy and no one wants to read something negative or depressing and therefore I feel It's best not to post anything when I'm low. That's wrong!

I was reading a friends post on Facebook about how she feels fed up and really struggling at the moment and did anyone else feel this way.
We are all human and I'm the first to mentally beat myself up when I start moaning or have no motivation, and feelings of negativity. And last week I said to my mum; "I feel like I'm standing here with an imaginary bat, swinging it all day every day to bounce those emotions away"!

So if your feeling the same today or next week, or last week all I will say is this is not forever, things will be different in potentially 8 weeks, spring is around the corner the nights will get lighter each day and we can start to get back to doing the things we love.

Hang on in there, just take each day as it comes.

Eating plant-based 🌱 doesn't have to be boring. Do you ever really stop and think about the food on your plate, what it is, where has it come from, how did it get there? And does it make you thrive?

Since going to a plant-based 🌱 diet, my nails have grown, my hair grows like something I've never seen before 😂 (I'm sure you've all seen my stories) but not only this I now love to cook 👩🏻‍🍳 and prepare my food, whereas before, I couldn't stand the smell of chicken or even cutting it up.

I found it hard transitioning over to a vegan diet to start with, it wasn't until I started exploring foods and becoming more adventurous and confident in the kitchen I started making dinner bowls like these. So I know what it's like to start out, therefore if you ever have any questions or need advice just drop me a DM and I will happily help you.

This plate has the following nutritional content:

607 Kcal
27g Protein
21g Fat
80g Carbs

Tastes amazing and completely nutritious.

Stop comparing yourself to others, there is only one you. We are all individuals and none of us are perfect.
Yes we all have things we don’t like about our selves, but it’s focusing on the things we do like and if we can improve the things we don’t like then great 👍🏼 I’m not just talking physically but also mentally.
I personally want to be the best version of me I can be and that for me is a strong body and a strong mind.
Last year has tested us all in every way possible but that’s life - it’s here to throw us curve balls continuously so don’t ever expect anything different. It’s how we adapt, change and grow.
Be determined, be fierce and be strong, coz let’s face it there are no other options 👊🏼 .

So if you didn't know already I own a little brand called

I set this up about 18months ago, it's taken everything I have from money to time, to my tears and my strength.

Trust me when I say this until you've set up your own business you don't realise how hard it can be. That's no to say I don't recommend it at all, because I do. If you have an idea or a dream then grab it by the balls and run with it, don't let anyone or anything stop you from what you want to do.

I was 19 when I first went alone in business and I use to mentally beat myself up and not think I was good enough, I had crap grades at school dropped out of college with depression and was always bottom of the class.

It's not only now 20 years on I can look back and say bloody hell girl you did alright you shouldn't have been so hard on yourself.

Anyways enough rambling on, the message here is if you need any protein powder to go check out my brand and if your thinking of starting a business then go do it 👊🏼

Smoothie bowls are so quick and easy to make and perfect for any meal. I ate a lot of these for lunch over the summer months.

It's also a great way to ensure your having a good protein 🌱intake for that meal too, you can be as creative as you like with what fruit 🍌 and vegetables🥕🥦 you add to your blender along with what you top your bowls with too.

I'm going to be putting a seven-day smoothie cleanse together for anyone looking for a nice healthy cleanse after Xmas, so be sure to be on my mailing list as this will be a free download.

For those who have been following me for a while and for those who are new to following me, I wanted to let you know more about what kind of content il be posting and why.

I created The Vegan Body Coach, for a number of reasons, the main being to help people transition over to becoming vegan and to show people why one should consider becoming vegan 🌱 and where to start.

I wasn't always a vegan, and I never enjoyed preparing food and usually stuck to eating chicken or fish. It wasn't until I started to connect the dots when my first pet chicken 🐥 had to be put to sleep that I realised I was caring for one while chopping another one up in my kitchen. I knew it felt wrong and decided to stop eating chicken after this.
Vegans are not perfect no one is, we believe we should all do our upmost to not harm anyone or anything.

So the content I will be posting more of is how I train as a vegan and the food I eat, quick and easy to follow recipes which are high in protein. So expect more videos of me 😂 I'm still trying to get used to talking into a screen, at least once I get the hang of it I can give hubby's ears a rest!

So if you like what you see, double-tap that little heart ❤️ button so I know my content is worthwhile.

The obstacle is the way.
How many of us will hold our hands up and give up the moment an obstacle is put in our way?
And how many of us actually use the obstacle as a tool to our advantage.
Interesting question, when you think about it isn't it?
I try hard to focus on using the obstacle as an advantage and looking at a situation that I can turn around rather than throw my hands in the air and blame someone or something else.
Think the next time you have a situation or a curveball and take a step back and ask yourself how I can work this to a different angle.

Sometimes you have to take a step back to see things clearly in life.
Its taken me 38 years to figure out what I truly want in life and what makes me feel alive.
I feel most of us spend a lifetime wondering what we are here for or what we should be doing and that's ok because let's face it we are all in this together and none of us knows what it's all about.
So do not fret, and do not worry it will all come clear to you.

For those of you who know me, know I'm a massive animal🐄🐖🐐 lover. I truly respect the animal kingdom and chose to be vegan because of this. I met this little girl whilst away in Corfu and she was the highlight of my trip, she chose to come and fall asleep on my back like this and I was honoured that she had trust in me to do so.

I've always wanted to have my own animal sanctuary and to help educate people on a vegan lifestyle and show we are all equal on this planet.

This is my mission in life; to open a sanctuary for the animals who need my love because I have buckets of it just waiting to give them.

What's your dream?

Rest & recharge.
As humans, we work work work and tend to forget how important it is to rest and recharge not just the physical body but the mind too.
Now I'm completely and utterly guilty of this, and it's not until I'm at exploding point 🌋 when I say s**t I need a break I'm going to explode.
But why do we leave it until this point to take a break?
Drive, well, it is for me as I am a very driven person. I have a long term goal, and I know there are steps I need to do to get me there. I will share this with you one day what that is.
Anyway for now, if you're like me, make sure you take that break, don't burn out. Allow your body to rest along with your mind too. You'll come back stronger and with a much clearer mind 🧠.

P.S I thought the picture was so appropriate as turquoise is my favourite colour if you didn't know that already.
