“When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.” - Tecumseh

MAY ALL BEINGS BE HAPPY AND FREE.

Lokāḥ samastāḥ sukhino bhavantu (Sanskrit)
Loka Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu: translation and meaning:
"May all living beings everywhere, on all planetary systems be happy and free. And may my thoughts, words and actions in my own life contribute at least to some extent to this happiness and this freedom for all.”

May I become at all times, both now and forever
A protector of those without protection
A guide for those who have lost their way
A ship for those with oceans to cross
A bridge for those with rivers to cross
A sanctuary for those in danger
A lamp for those without light
A place of refuge for those who lack shelter
And a servant to all in need
For as long as space endures,
And for as long as living beings remain,
Until then may I, too, abide
To dispel the misery of the world.
- Shantideva Prayer
Translated by the Dalai Lama.

My teachings are easy to understand,
and easy to put into practice.
Yet your intellect will never grasp them,
and if you try to practice them, you'll fail.
My teachings are older than the world.
How can you grasp their meaning?
If you want to know me,
look inside your heart.
Tao Te Ching, Translation by Stephen Mitchell

“Once upon a time, when women were birds, there was the simple understanding that to sing at dawn and to sing at dusk was to heal the world through joy.

The birds still remember what we have forgotten, that the world is meant to be celebrated.”

Advice from María Sabina, Mexican Healer and Poet

“Heal yourself with the light of the sun and the rays of the Moon. With the sound of the river and the waterfall. With the swaying of the sea and the fluttering of birds.

Heal yourself with mint, neem, and eucalyptus. Sweeten with lavender, rosemary, and chamomile. Hug yourself with the cocoa bean and a hint of cinnamon. Put Love in tea instead of sugar and drink it looking at the stars.

Heal yourself with the kisses that the wind gives you and the hugs of the rain. Stand strong with your bare feet on the ground and with everything that comes from it.

Be smarter every day by listening to your intuition, looking at the world with your forehead. Jump, dance, sing, so that you live happier. Heal yourself, with beautiful love, and always remember...
YOU ARE THE MEDICINE"

In any close relationship (where we take the risk of allowing another to matter) we open ourselves to the two primordial archetypal energies of abandonment and fusion. Sensing the potential for shattering reorganization, it makes sense that there is some hesitancy in stepping all the way in.

We come into relationship with a living template of past relational experiences: Will I be safe? Can I be fully myself? What about all of my eccentricities, sensitivities, vulnerabilities, and weeping wounds? Will I need to be someone different in order to be seen and held? Will I lose myself? Is this all going to be worth it?

Inevitably, conflicts will occur within that tender intersection between ourselves and another. But these are natural, and reveal themselves to be secret portals to wholeness.

A healthy relationship is not one where there is never any conflict, but where conflict is repaired, and where we honor our connectedness.

Do you have troubling emotions that you need to release?
Let them go now.
Emotions hold us back, agitate the mind, bring anxiety.
You learned something from them.
Let them go now.

I allow myself to heal. I AM Whole.
I release any energies and emotions that are not mine.
I allow this healing energy to move through me.
I AM WHOLE. I AM WELL. I AM COMPLETE.

Conscious breathing brings you to control the body and mind more efficiently than almost anything else.

Your breathing influences every system in your body, from the cardiovascular to the digestive system.

Slow down the breath, and the mind slows with it.
Calm the breath, and the nervous system switches from fight or flight to rest and relax.
