These healthy samoa cookies are
SO 👏🏻DANG 👏🏻 GOOD👏🏻.

Only 5 ingredients and easy to make!

INGREDIENTS
1 cup raw cashews
8 - 10 large Medjool dates
1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
1/2 cup dark chocolate
2 tsp coconut oil
1 tsp sea salt (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS
*Soak raw cashews in water overnight.
•Preheat the oven to 400 F. Spread the coconut shreds on a baking sheet. Place in the oven for 3 - 5 minutes or until the coconut is toasted to lightly brown. (Make sure you watch closely. They can burn very fast).
•Drain, rinse soaked raw cashews, then add to a food processor. Add pitted Medjool dates, and blend well combined (no chunk of dates left).
•Add toasted shredded coconut and blend it again.
•Use a cookie dough scooper to scoop the dough into 1 inch balls, and place onto a parchment paper. Lightly press it down with the palm of your hand. Then (anything you can find around the kitchen) to punch a hole in the middle of the cookie. Wiggle it around to get the desired size. *
•Place the pan in the freezer for at least 15 minutes to set.
•Dip cookies in melted dark chocolate/ oil mixture. Place back on the parchment paper. Drizzle with remaining chocolate and top with more toasted coconut shreds.

Got this recipe from a fellow coach ♥️

Chocolate Chip Protein Bar

• 1/2 cup Coconut Flour
• 1 1/2 cup Vanilla Whey Protein
• 1/2 cup natural creamy Peanut Butter
•1/3 cup unsweetened Almond Milk
•1/3 cup semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
•4 tsp Maple Syrup

Mix everything together! Grab a sheet pan and layer it with parchment paper. Press dough on and chill for an hour.

Makes 12 bars

Need some inspiration on meal prep “best practices?" We’ve got you!

Meal prep is a GREAT way to plan ahead, save time during the week, and make sure you get all of your macros in for the day. We LOVE meal prep here in the FASTer Way community-- so we’re sharing some of our favorite tips and tricks with you to make meal prep a breeze.

MEAL PREP BEST PRACTICES:
📥 Make sure you have enough containers on hand to store your meals for the week. Glass containers are a great option so you can take them right from the refrigerator to the microwave to reheat.

🔪 Chop and measure all your ingredients before you start (this is a HUGE time saver!) If you’re really short on time, shop the produce department for pre-cut veggies.

🍗 Prepare a large batch of protein of your choice at the beginning of the week and use as needed -- try chicken breast, ground turkey or lean ground beef, season as desired, cook, and store in the fridge for 4-5 days. Use cooked meat in a variety of dishes throughout the week!

🍚 Cook up a big pot of brown rice to keep on hand and use as needed.

Let’s talk Fiber! One of the many reasons to get your fruits and veggies in!

Fiber does a lot of important things in the body, which means it’s important to eat enough of it every day!

Here’s the 411 on fiber:
🍆 it’s a non-digestible carbohydrate
🌽 it’s classified as soluble (dissolves in water and feeds our “good” gut bacteria) and insoluble (does not dissolve in water)
🍠 it can reduce blood sugar spikes after a high-carb meal
🍅 it can reduce cholesterol
🍒 it can reduce constipation
🍌 it may reduce the risk of colorectal cancer
🍊 it’s good for digestion and the gut!

When it comes to fiber, some of the best bang-for-your-buck fruits include:
pears 🍐
strawberries 🍓
avocados 🥑
apples 🍎
bananas 🍌

So eat up, enjoy those carbs, and get more fiber -- your body will thank you!!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!! It happens to fall on a low carb day for us in the FASTer Way - so Here is a low carb margarita you can enjoy tonight and still stay within your macros!

Ingredients
-3 ounces good tequila
-2 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice
-1/2 tsp orange extract
-1 tbsp powdered Swerve Sweetener (optional)
-Crushed ice
-salt for ri***ng (optional) Kosher works best

Instructions
1. In a cocktail shaker or a measuring cup, combine tequila, lime juice, orange extract and sweetener, if using.
2. Fill two margarita glasses or old-fashioned glasses halfway with crushed ice.
3. Divide mixture evenly between glasses.
If you like a salted rim, run a wedge of lime around the outside of the glass before filling with ice and dip in a plate of kosher salt

140 calories and 3 carbs per serving- makes 2 servings!
