TREND WATCH

As I do customer estimates I am asked daily what the current trend is for cabinet paint color. While white is still king, we also do a lot of gray cabinets. Overall, the trend is toward warmer grays or "greige" colors mixed with natural elements. We are also using more brass hardware although it's a satin gold rather than the 80's builder grade brass.

This kitchen is a good example of what is on trend now in this area.

As so many homes during the 80's and 90's used honey oak throughout I am frequently asked if it all needs to be painted if the cabinets are painted. My answer has always been no, but they should be coordinated. Here are some good ideas on how this can be accomplished.
