The past 3 days six of our members/officers competed at State Leadership Conference in Tan-tar-a. Even though no one made it to nationals this year everyone still did a very great job and scored very high in their events. Region 9 won the spirit stick for having the most spirit! We can’t wait till next year!

On Tuesday and Wednesday Alicia Emery participated in Legislative Shadowing in Jefferson City. She shadowed Representative Bob Titus. We got to go out on the House floor and went to the top of the Dome.

Emma Schrock & Kaydn Gonzales chose to support Sammy’s Window for their FCCLA project! They had so many donations from local businesses that it filled the trunk of Kaydn’s trunk up. FCCLA Friendsgiving 2023 is in the books! Thank you to everyone who brought a dish!

This past weekend a few of our officers and members attended the National Fall Leadership Conference in Birmingham, Alabama. It was a great experience for some of these students to travel somewhere they have never been. We can’t wait for next year!

On Wednesday we had some members attend the Region 9 meeting in Cabool. We had a great time!

Some of our officers went to Region 9 Officer Training. They had a wonderful time being there. They learned more about their officer role and becoming a Regional officer.

Our trip to Nationals is sadly nearing an end but we are leaving with many accomplishments!
⭐️ Ashley Madderra, Alicia Emery, Ashley McGowan were invited to the top 10 recognition ceremony meaning they placed top 10 in the NATION
⭐️Kaydn Gonzales and Emma Schrock competed against many other schools in the country and did great
⭐️All students are the FIRST from MGHS to ever make it to Nationals for STAR Events
⭐️This is the first time MGHS FCCLA have ever placed in top 10 in the Nation

I am so proud of these ladies and I can’t wait to see what they do in the following years for themselves and the MGHS FCCLA chapter! So thankful for them and their hard work

Today we took a bus to Idaho Springs, CO. It is the cutest little mountain town and is where the Gold Rush began. We toured the mine tunnel and mill then panned for our own gold
