When I get time to do some self-care (sometimes it's hard with 2 kiddos) I love to go all in on it. I always start with clean dry skin. I do a face steam, then mask. Sometimes, I get all bougie and do a full body mask by mixing a skin safe oil, like Almond oil, in the clay masks (it's freaking incredible). After I rinse off, I use the serums to hydrate. The past few days my anxiety has been pretty intense. So today I decided to make myself an herbal tea to help aid my mental health. I used Kava Kava root powder, Matcha powder, Hibiscus, and coconut milk. Kava is great for anxiety and calming. It has a very unique taste and can make the mouth tingle. To balance the effects of the Kava I used matcha for its caffeine and cognitive support. The Hibiscus helps with blood pressure and inflammation. Coconut milk gives heart health. I blend all of those for a few minutes then strain it with a cheese cloth. I add some orange and lime juice to help cut some bitterness. It has helped subside some of those anxious feelings and the feeling in my chest that comes with it.

Today for , I thought this would be a great article to share. Mirror work is new to me but is already impactful. I made a list of affirmations like my post from last Saturday. Then I sat in front of the mirror and read them to myself. My first time was a powerful moment. I cried as I told myself that I am enough among all of the other things on my list. At the end as I was looking at myself, I truly felt for the first time in a long time that I have value. I hope that this helps even just one person feel better about themselves. Affirmations are a great way to pep yourself up everyday. What are affirmations, you may ask? Def: emotional support or encouragement. So how do you go about making affirmations for yourself? I focus on an area of myself that may need some love. So one thing that I always include is "I AM ENOUGH, I AM WORTHY." Then I'll sprinkle in some other words of encouragement, like "I am successful, I am happy, I am healthy." Whatever I feel like I'm being hard in myself about I put it in a positive form to read to myself.
You can make new affirmations everyday, week or month, totally up to you. Start your morning by reading your affirmation to yourself and it will set a great tone for the day.

Normally our shines on a product but today we're showing love to the fact that today is the first day of summer or the summer solstice. It means so many different things to people of all walks of life. Some it may mean work, while others look at it as a time for fun, etc. To me, summer time is an incredible feeling. From the smells of the flowers, and bbq, to going to beach, or getting fresh produce from the awesome little stands spread all throughout where I live, summer is always exciting.
What does this day or season mean to you?

We love ! Meagen here, as a mom and business owner its hard sometimes to find time for myself so every Saturday I take an hour to myself. I take a nice bath, do a face steam, then a clay mask. I put my phone up during that time and just focus on myself. My thoughts, and body. What am I thinking about? Am I in a positive state of thinking or negative? If I notice that my thoughts aren't on a positive I work to change that. Law of attraction says what you put out there you get back. So if you are thinking negative thoughts, things will continue to stay in that pattern but if you change your thinking to be positive you'll have good things come back. So keep your head up, and look for light in every situation!
