Red-breasted Partridge (Arborophila hyperythra), also known as the Bornean Hill Partridge, forages in dense undergrowth and we were lucky enough to see it in the open!

The Crimson-headed Partridge (Haematortyx sanguiniceps) inhabits montane forests of Borneo and you’ll most definitely hear it before you see it!

Long-tailed Parakeet (Psittacula longicauda). Who else loves the colours of this stunner?

Mountain Barbet (Psilopogon monticola) is found in the Bornean mountains and has a very unique song. Join us in 2024 and experience it for yourself!

Broadbills are one of our favourite bird groups and this Black-and-yellow Broadbill (Eurylaimus ochromalu) is the reason why. They are the cartoon characters of the bird world!

This striking inhabitant of mangroves and lowland riparian forests is a Black-and-red Broadbill (Cymbirhynchus macrorhynchos). It ranges from Vietnam to Myanmar and Thailand through to Singapore and also can be found in Indonesia and the island of Borneo, where it was a spotted on our recent tour!
