Leery of Lectins - thanks to Dr Gundry

Leery of Lectins - thanks to Dr Gundry

Happened across The Plant Paradox and it made a lot of sense, just started The Energy Paradox .....

'My get up and go has gone' has been the case for me for months. Living with Cerebral Palsy and aging is challenging enough, however I am sharing my gradual transition to less lectins that while some foods may be thought of as 'healthy' they are causing issues that accumulate over time.

Really enjoying millet - both as a breakfast, and with veges / soup - it is light, and filling.

Feeling the difference and seeing the benefits.... it can make shopping a little challenging though. I am glad to have a sense of progress.

A FB post I saw yesterday had something about irritability possibly caused by inflammation - which made sense to me, in terms of what I have experienced personally....

Searching for it came across this - which Lloyd has talked about many times in great detail - the 'cereal coverup'.....

Reading 'The Energy Paradox' relieved at how fast the changes can be, and yet there is also a time that the cellular system needs to adapt.... Makes sense and gives me a sense of progress alongside a pragmatic view.... now to find a sieve fine enough for hulled millet.....

Even with only adopting some of the recommendations I am feeling better. Love Okra - I used to eat it, and am happy to have heaps in my freezer :)

Enjoying Millet again - something I used to have every day, years ago.

Sorghum - yummy and great how the Fusilli keeps its shape.

The Plant Paradox and The Energy Paradox make sense to me and give a fuller picture of what I used to enjoy. I haven't gone 'cold turkey' and thrown out the foods I have.... simply taking a break for a while and only have sparingly amongst minimising lectin intake.

Going well so far.....

So much of 'The Plant Paradox' makes sense to me, and the first paragraph of 'The Energy Paradox' 'yes that's me'.

It will be a slow transition as I do not plan to throw out food I already have, I will gradually incorporate the items that will be supporting my health moving forward. There's a sense of anticipation about having more energy and losing the lockdown weight, and managing problem 'symptoms' that have been persistent.
