Our family is so proud of this girl right here! My daughter's design for bookmark contest won for the middle school level. Isabel's bookmark design, along with the other grade winners' bookmark designs, are available at all branches. Congratulations to all the winning artists, and thank you for giving young artists opportunities like this to showcase their creativity and talent!
Happy Halloween from the Sailor Scouts! 🎃🪐🌙

Texture layer ✔️This is my latest work in progress "Goodbye Security Blanket". I know it's been a minute since I posted last, but after the family and I got sick a couple of weeks ago, I had to take a break to recharge and reset my focus. This is one of three new extension pieces that I'm currently working on and adding to my series "Life Stages: A Patched Up Anthology". I can't wait to share these new pieces with everyone soon!

This is my concept art submission for Art on the Half Shell program. You will find these oyster shell sculptures with designs by local artists all throughout Mt. Pleasant.
"Candy Colored Waters" is inspired by walks with my family at the Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park and Pier and just enjoying the beautiful water view, especially around sunset.
Hopefully, we'll see this sculpture around town soon😜

Happy Friday! "Strange Space" and "Striking Gold" are two new pieces from this year that I hadn't yet shared. These pieces were so much fun to work on because I really didn't have a set plan on design, and I just worked intuitively. Both paintings have since been sold and were purchased by a friend who also happens to be a very gifted writer. Check out for some hauntingly good reads and fun book recommendations!

The Saul Alexander Gallery had some visitors over the weekend❤️ I love when people share their experience in the exhibit and their perspective on particular pieces. I wanted this show to be interactive and I asked visitors to post about a piece that represents their current life stage and I'm happy so many people have participated over the duration of the exhibit. This show has been so warmly received by the community and I couldn't be more grateful. Special thanks to for hosting me once again. "Life Stages: A Patched Up Anthology" officially closes tomorrow evening, so go check it out while it's still there!

This is a close up detail of "Turn Up". It was a gift for a family member and is the last painting I completed in 2022. I'm happy I got to end the year celebrating with family and friends. My wish for everyone this year is a fresh beginning and renewed motivation for all you set to accomplish! Happy New Year! 🎉

Happy Tuesday! I'm sharing my latest commissioned piece, "It's a Mod World". Caulk, acrylic, and paper on canvas. I love creating art that pushes me out of my comfort zone. My client wanted a "Jetsons" feel to this piece and didn't want any curves in the design, so this is the end result. He loved it and I hope you do too!

Over the weekend the family and I got to see the end of the Spark Exhibition and the girls got to drop off new artwork for their upcoming Student Exhibition.
I have to brag on my babies just a bit because my elder daughter just sold her first painting from the Spark Exhibition and both of my girls worked so hard on their new pieces for the student show.
Thank you for the wonderful opportunities you give to young and beginner artists. We can't wait to see all the new exhibits going up soon!

Over the weekend, the family and I got to view the beautiful exhibits currently on display and drop some artwork off for their annual Spark Exhibition. It was our first visit to the gallery and my girls had to get some pictures in front of their favorites 😍 It's a unique space and if you're ever in Downtown Summerville I highly recommend visiting.
My older daughter and I will both be exhibiting a piece for the Spark Exhibition, so keep an eye out for our paintings!
I'm so honored to have my painting "Revelry Commencing" among the selected artworks in the running for the Koger Center for the Arts . Please visit the link below to like and share. Thank you!

This piece is part of my series "Celebration Anticipation" that I created 2020-2021 during the height of the pandemic. The whole series explores the optimistic longings and nostalgic daydreams of being reunited with family and friends and all of the moments cherished during celebrations. Making these paintings during that time of uncertainty was very therapeutic and uplifting for me and I hope that others feel a sense of optimism and joy when they look at these works.
Please check out my submission for the Koger Center for the Arts

Late night texture layer progress for a new series. I've been an insomniac since I was a little girl and tend to get inspired to work when most people are getting ready for bed. There's something about the stillness of night that puts my mind in creative mode. Artist friends, are you early birds or night owls? Asking for a friend🤣
