The Public Policy and International Affairs (PPIA) Fellowship provides full funding for recipients to attend the PPIA Junior Summer Institute at select policy schools across the United States during the summer after their junior year. In addition, this competitive award includes a graduate school scholarship, professional development, and mentorship for students planning to enter careers in public policy or international affairs.

Today we feature Kaleb Webb, who has been named a finalist for the prestigious Truman Scholarship! Kaleb is an Honors student and an active leader on campus and in the local community. He has a double major in Political Science and Global Studies and a minor in Spanish. He will have his regional interview on March 18. Good luck, Kaleb!

Congrats to Alex and Blake, who have been named Fulbright semifinalists! They made it through the U.S. phase of the competition, and now their applications will go to the host countries (Alex-Spain; Blake-Greece) for the final round of selection. Way to go!
The U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program is proud to announce a new partnership with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The Gilman-DAAD Germany Scholarship will provide 40 scholarships per year for the next three years for exceptional U.S. undergraduate students to study and/or intern for academic credit in Germany through the Gilman Program. The Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Summer Enrichment Program provides undergraduate students with enhanced knowledge and skills to pursue careers in international affairs. The program encourages the application of members of minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service, women, and those with financial need.

For students and alumni pursuing careers in national security and terrorism prevention: Applications are open for the Legacy Award of the Victims of Pan Am Flight 103, established to remember the 270 lives lost in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 on December 21, 1988. Legacy Awards are available to students pursuing advanced degrees related to improved national security and terrorism prevention. Two Legacy Awardees are selected each year:
The LEGACY FELLOW is selected from among those applicants who have 3 or more years of professional experience in fields related to national security and terrorism prevention. Legacy Fellows receive a $5,000 award.
The LEGACY SCHOLAR is selected from among those applicants who are just completing or have very recently completed their undergraduate degrees (i.e. within the last 3 years). Legacy Scholars receive a $2,000 award.
The U.S. Department of State’s Gilman-McCain Scholarship provides awards of $5,000 for undergraduate child dependents of active duty service members to study or intern abroad on credit-bearing programs. Learn more and apply at gilmanscholarship.org.

Now seeking applicants for the Humanity in Action Fellowship, which funds a summer experience abroad and a year of community engagement back home. A Humanity in Action Fellow’s experience starts with a month of immersive study in a host city in Europe.
