Beauty and Brains bundled into one Miss Liezl Gabrielle Romero Ludan joins the ranks of Academic Achievers for the school 23 _24 garduating Second Honors .Juris Doctor in o e of the more prestigious schools jn the country.Ateneo University She traces her paternal genealogy to the highlands of Lubo Tanudan known for one of the highest number of professionals and achievers in Kalinga.It will also be recalled that Liezl bagged the title Miss Political Science 2019 in UP Diliman where she graduated where she earned her BS Degree in Politicsl Science .
She is joined by her two brothers who also graduated this year with honors in the United States .It was real Grand Slam and feathers added to the cup for the parents Ret. Gen Steve Ludan and Liezl Ro.eto Ludsn Romero Ludan

IPMR ASSEMBLY

During the IPMR Assembly, Atty. Geoffry Calderon, the Provincial Legal Officer of NCIP Kalinga & Apayao, highlighted on the salient points of House Bill 9608 introduced by Representative Jurdin Jesus M. Romualdo - An Act Rationalizing the Ancestral Lands Administration and Adjudication Process Amending for The Purpose Republic Act No. 8371, Otherwise Known As "The Indigenous Peoples' Rights Act Of 1997."

Atty. Basilio Wandag, the former NCIP Commissioner, shared also its implications and prospective effects anent the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples’ capacity to exercise its mandate on Ancestral Domain of the ICCs/IPs.

The activity headed by Hon. Michael Karel B. Sugguiyao, the Provincial IPMR, was actively participated by the City/Municipal IPMRs and Barangay IPMRs.

The pioneer Old Guards of the CPLA _ CBA among others ..Kalinga Prov..IPMR Michael Karel Sugguiyao.Eng.Andres Ngaoi Hon Andrew Cos-agon. Mike assud Brandy Bitalan .Juanita Chulsi .and other members of the CPLA - CBA contingent from the Cordilleras join in the commemoration of the Mt DAta Sipat ..It will be recalled that the temporary truce for the cessation of armed hostilities between the CPLA and the govt forces was forged in the now historic dicument called the Mt.DATA SIPAT between the CPLA led by Cobrado BaLweg and the revolutionary govt of the Philippines under Pres Cory Aquino.While the CPLA was true to its commitment of keeping its side to the truce the Phil Govt has still to put .Cordiillera Autonomy in place.Autonomy was the centerpiece of the talking points in the Mt Data Sipat

The Provincial IPMR attended the 36th Commemoration of the Historic Mt. Data Peace Accord held at Bauko, Mt. Province on 13th of September, 2022.

A tribute was given to the Heroes of Cordillera pursuing the Cordilleran cause and pursuit of Autonomy.

JUST IN: Lubuagan Mayor Charisma Ann Dickpus and Tanudan Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag exchanged tokens as Lubuagan and Lubo, Tanudan performed Sipat today, January 19.The Sipat which is the first step to restoring the Bodong between the two tribes was facilitated by Leonardo Bon-as.

The momentous event was witnessed by Benedicto Sugguiyao and Jeffrey Uyam who moderated the pre-discussion between the elders of Lubuagan and Lubo, NCIP Kalinga Director, Atty. Catherine Apaling and Tanudan Vice Mayor Joseph Cosidon. More details to follow...
