To celebrate Black History Month- PinkNews is showcasing trailblazing Black LGBT+ activists and first up is Bayard Rustin.
In case you didn't know, Bayard Rustin was one of the central figures of the civil rights movement. There is currently a national letter writing campaign to have a US postage stamp issued in his honor and we are asking for your support.
As an openly gay Black man, Bayard Rustin has often been forgotten from history. In this video- Abi McIntosh explains why Rustin was such a fearless activist and why his fight for equality should earn him a place in history. 🏳️🌈
