Tripura State mixed Martial Arts Association the sole MMA governing body in Tripura, affiliated under MMA India and member of International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF). MMA Tripura participants consisting of four fighters and one coach participated in 2nd India Open MMA Youth Championship at Jabalpur - Madhya Pradesh from 2nd to 4th December 2022.
In the Championship MMA Tripura achieved one Gold and two Bronze.
1. Adam Hrangkhawl secured Gold Medal
2. Aman Chandravanshi got Bronze Medal
3. Juel Hrangkhawl secured Bronze Medal.
4. Manisha Debbarma fought well though she could not achieved medal in the event.
Kru Chandrakanta Debbarma as MMA Tripura Team Coach who took care of the players very well and supported the fighters to the final.
Kru Raymond Bongcher the State In-charge and Technical Chairman of MMA Tripura spoke about his satisfaction and praised his fighters for putting up their best effort.
Adam Hrangkhawl is the first MMA Tripura Youth Fighter who secured Gold Medal in National Level and it is the History for the state of Tripura.
