๐ Itโs officialโฆour care worker recruitment campaign has won a top national award!
Proud to Care North Lincolnshire, which raises the profile of the vital role care workers play in our communities, fought off strong competition to win โBest innovation in recruitmentโ at the Local Government Chronicleโs Workforce Awards in Birmingham.
To attract more kind and compassionate people to become care workers we worked closely with providers to introduce a range of initiatives.
These are enabling care workers to benefit from funded childcare, electric transport from just ยฃ10 a month, discounted gym memberships and more.
Huge congratulations to everyone involved with Proud to Care North Lincolnshire ๐

Donโt forget that Free Swimming is here for the summer across all pools in North Lincolnshire ๐๐ป๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ
Free Under 16s Swimming North Lincs AND East Riding
As residents may remember, providing free summer holidays swimming sessions to keep young people engaged and active over the summer hols has been a key local Conservative pledge in North Lincs for many years now. This year is no different and free swimming is back.
However, I am also pleased to report that, following the change of leadership at East Riding Council which has seen Goole North Councillor, Anne Handley, become Leader and Goole North Councillor, Nick Coultish, become Cabinet Member for Leisure, we now have free swimming sessions in East Riding pools too!
I have worked with Anne and Nick on this proposal as we have been frustrated in recent years not to have this option available in the East Riding as it is in North Lincs.
Your local Conservative team is proud to have delivered this policy in both Council areas and we hope to build on it in future years.
The free sessions are limited but are a good start and at the very least provide some free entertainment over the summer hols at a time when global cost of living pressures are impacting family budgets.
