Trans Day of Remembrance and Resilience 2021

We’re putting together a project!

You can help by contributing a 30-second video. First, claim up to 2 names on the list of victims by placing your name on the Google Sheet. Then record yourself (in landscape orientation) stating your name and location, lighting a candle while saying the name(s) of the person you’re remembering, and saying a brief sentence of affirmation or blessing. Here’s an example:

I'm Erica Saunders, and I'm pastor of Peace Community Church in Oberlin, Ohio. On this Trans Day of Remembrance, I'm lighting a candle for Tyianna Alexander, who was shot to death in Chicago. [[light a candle in the video]] Trans folks teach us the beauty of authenticity.
