Rescuers worked through a frigid night to save survivors of the deadly earthquakes in Turkiye and Syria. The death toll passed 7200 in the two countries. The snowfall, a fire eruption, and another earthquake have complicated the situation in Turkiye.

A magnitude 5.9 earthquake hit central Turkey on Tuesday amid freezing rain and snow. According to Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay, at least 78 aftershocks were detected. A massive fire erupted at the quake-damaged Iskenderun Port, causing thick smoke.

The fire has been put out on Tuesday. Rescuers and volunteers are still racing against time to save lives, but experts warned that the toll could rise dramatically as foul weather hampered the rescuers while increasing the risk of hypothermia among survivors under the rubble.

Let's pray for them😢🤲🙏
