Find Your Road
We sold everything to travel across the country in our RV with our kids. We are finding our road, and want to help you do the same.
Had one of the best days ever! Didn’t snap our swim in Firehole River, or the bison passing while we soaked, but we captured some of God’s epic handiwork nonetheless. @ Yellowstone National Park
Just a 40 minute drive... and look at this! Best date ever!! @ Midway Geyser Basin / Grand Prismatic Spring
West Yellowstone bound! Montana, here we come!
Finally! A hike with my girl in Grand Tetons. We absolutely love this place. I could make a home here for sure. Mountains, lakes, rushing water, wild buffalo! It’s perfect. @ The Grand Tetons
Happy Fourth! From our family to yours!!
Just another morning drive... @ Grand Teton National Park
Sheer cliffs, thermal pools, and geysers! Not a bad way to spend the day. @ Midway Geyser Basin / Grand Prismatic Spring
Sunrise! His mercies are new every morning. I’m grateful for that.
Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home; that wildness is a necessity. -John Muir
I could not agree more. Wildness as necessity...
We did it! Mount Rushmore and then a walking tour of the surrounding town of Keystone. Popped in for our antique fix at Holy Terror, named for one of South Dakota’s most profitable mines.
Made it to Rapid City, SD last night. Get ready for lots of amazing pics. What a great Main Street.
Another epic Sunday hike! This time we encountered a bull moose and his girl. What an adventure! @ Rocky Mountain National Park
Wow! Wow! Wow!! Not our usual Sunday stroll. We had quite an experience.
We’ve never seen this before!
Just wow! Rocky Mountain National Park does not disappoint! We found 4 Moose!! @ Trail Ridge Road
After a crazy couple of days, we found ourselves a pretty good spot just outside of Rocky Mountain National Park. There’s just nothing like being surrounded by snow-capped mountains. @ Granby, Colorado
Well... Juniah made her first solo flight back to Orlando to preach on purity and visit friends and family. Awesome! And ya, well, we’re having our own adventure. First truck blow out.
We made it!! These pictures were all taken before we got very, very lost on some back trails. We hiked and hiked and never found another soul, until finally we found two hikers, whom I will refer to as “trail angels.” They got us back on the right trail and walked us all the way back to our truck! What an adventure!! @ Palmer Lake Reservoir Trail
Back in civilization! Well, kind of... We’re back in an RV park. Can’t wait to take a LONG shower! @ Monument, Colorado
Another epic hike! Can you see the Rockies in the background? Nothing quite like being surrounded by all this beauty. @ Eleven Mile Canyon Reservoir
Found a new spot! Got water, emptied our tanks, and we’re back in the wild. Loving every minute of this crazy adventure.
We’re doing it! We’re boondocking in the most phenomenal spot. Pikes Peak in the background and mountains all around... What a spot we’ve found. So grateful to have met another RV family who inspired and even coached us along in how to get set up off grid. This is how we imagined RV life. So glad we are finally doing it!
It’s not all epic hikes and nuzzling horses... Today is laundry day! Even so, I’m loving every minute of this crazy journey together.
What a perfect day! A dear friend in Colorado Springs allowed us to come spend some time with her sweet horses! Juniah and Judah even got to ride a bit. What a joy!! @ Larkspur, Colorado
We didn’t quite make it to the summit, but if you look closely behind the trees you can make out Pikes Peak in the clouds. I didn’t capture near enough pictures, but I don’t think any of us will forget this hike. @ Mount Herman - Pike National Forest
This one was so beautiful that we both got a little teary-eyed. We’re still getting pretty winded, but every turn makes it worth it.
We did it! Found a hike we could do together!! Loved every minute... more to come. @ Mount Herman - Pike National Forest
Social distancing at its absolute finest! The whole earth is filled with the glory of God. Enjoying every minute. Homeschool with an impromptu field trip. @ Garden of the Gods Park
We made it! What a place, what a view. Spent our first night and took our first walk around our RV park. Loving every minute.
Well! After a month of sheltering in place, we’re heading north. We’ve made the most of our month of quarantine: read lots of books, got on track with homeschool, started fitness challenges as a family (minus Judah), and took some epic scenic drives. And now we’re off!
Our Story
We still can't believe it! We dreamed about it, planned for it, took some significant steps to make way for it, and now we're doing it! We're traveling full-time with our two kids and two dogs in our fifth wheel.
We had gotten in a rut as a family. We were busy all the time but disconnected. When we were together, we were so exhausted that most of the time we would retreat to our separate bedrooms or offices to be alone. Isolated from one another, we knew we needed a change, but we weren't sure what to do.
We stumbled across some Youtube channels about fulltime RV travel, and we started to dream again. What if we could step out and explore the world together? What if we could travel with our kids right now, in these last teenage years, before they head off into their own lives? What if?
Before we knew it, this dream had taken hold of us. As a family, we started watching travel videos toegther. Our family dinner conversations were becoming exciting again. A new vision was bringing us back together.
