The doctor now on home quarantine in Butuan City is an outsourced medical doctor by the Provincial Government of Surigao del Norte at the hospital in Sta. Cruz, Placer and a resident of Butuan City.

This afternoon, the provincial government conducted rapid testing to 37 hospital personnel who were in close contact with the said doctor.

5. MASS GATHERING/SOCIAL GATHERING- Bawal maligo sa beach, bawal fiesta, birthday parties sports activities, musical concerts, community assemblies, gambling, internet cafes, E-games, or any non-essential activities & etc.

6. SUSPENSION OF TABO- Bawal pa an tabo, an mga balotan, and other sidewalk vendors.

7. CURFEW HOURS- Padajon an curfew hour sa tanan sugod 9:00PM-4:00AM.

8. BUSINESS HOURS- Supermarkets, grocery stores, agri-fisherery supply stores, veterinary supplies, pharmacies, ug uban pang establishments: Open at 7:00AM-7:00PM only.
BANKS: Open at 8:00AM-12:00NN only.
REMITTANCE CENTERS: Open at 8:00AM-5:00PM only.

9. PUBLIC MARKET- Open at 4:00AM- 6:00PM only.

ECQ IN CARAGA WILL BE LIFTED EXCEPT BUTUAN

The Regional Task Force COVID19 One Caraga Shield has agreed to lift the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in the five provinces in the region and impose general community quarantine (GCQ) effective May 1.

However, Butuan City Mayor Ronnie Vicente Lagnada recommended that the city shall remain under ECQ, awaiting for approval of the Interagency Task Force. This is because the city remains to be the epicenter of the confirmed COVID-19 cases in the region, with authorities still monitoring its development.

DOH Caraga Reports the Second Confirmed COVID-19 Case

As of April, 17, 2020, at 3:00 PM today, DOH Caraga confirms the second positive case for COVID-19 in the region. The tagged CA PUI 51, 65-year-old, male, Filipino from Butuan City, with no pre-existing medical condition and is currently admitted at Caraga Regional Hospital has revealed a Positive result in its follow-up test for the viral disease.

The said patient has no history of travel; however, had close contact with a relative who went to Davao for the Araw ng Dabaw six-cock Derby in New Davao Matina Gallera last month. At present, the patient’s condition is currently guarded with oxygen support but with signs of improvement. Further contact tracing of patient’s close contacts is on-going.

“We would like to reiterate to the public to stay at home and only go out from your houses when necessary. If ever you will feel signs and symptoms related to COVID-19, have close contacts to known positive case or have travelled to areas with local transmission, then please coordinate accordingly to your health response teams or call our hotline numbers,” Regional Director Jose R. Llacuna, Jr. said.

Meanwhile, the Local Government of Butuan has already conducted Rapid Antibody Testing. Positive samples were forwarded to the Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (RESU) of DOH Caraga subject for RT-PCR confirmatory test at Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) in Davao City. A total of nineteen (19) samples were sent for confirmation in which thirteen (13) tested Negative. There are still samples with pending lab results.

“Let us be responsible citizens and follow the advisories set by the DOH and the local government units. By working together and by abiding to the laws, we will beat COVID-19,” the health chief concluded. (DOH Caraga)

DOH COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #034

As of 4PM today, April 17, 2020, the Department of Health reports 218 new cases (PH5661-PH5878) of COVID-19. The total number of cases in the country is now at 5,878.

DOH also announce 52 new recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 487.

Gov. Lalo Matugas issued Executive Order No. 20-012 declaring the whole Province of Surigao del Norte under a state of ENHANCED COMMUNITY QUARANTINE (ECQ).

The Philippine National Police, Philippine Army, Philippine Coastguard and other Law Enforcement Officers are hereby ordered to ensure compliance with these ECQ policies.
