Sapphires for days! Back in the 14th and 15th century, up through around the early 1700's, sapphires were considered to be the "proper" stone for what we now refer to as an engagement ring. In fact, they were considered more valuable than diamond throughout a good portion of Europe until the early industrial revolution.
Most of this lovely lot of tourmaline is still available! Lets make you something pretty!
Red spinel has one of my absolute favorite stories from the jewelry world attached to it. In the 1300's Edward of Woodstock (The Black Prince), the son of Edward III of Enland, recieved a large ruby as payment for services rendered. The stone eventually became known as The Black Prince's Ruby, and currently resides in the Imperial State Crown of England. The interesting part came in the mid 1700's when we realised it was not, in fact, a ruby! Up until that point, all red gemstones were considered ruby, and the chemical and structural differences between ruby and spinel was one of the later to be noticed. This particular stone is a touch over two carats, a far cry from the Black Prince's Ruby; a massive 177 carats, and appraises for about $7,000-8,000 at fair market. Currently asking $3,800USD.
Absolutely love this, from one of our manufacturing partners. Comes in rose, white, yellow, along with platinum and sterling. Any stone you could want too.

Open & Honest.
I started working in the jewelry industry when I was 17 years old. When I got started, I was the single worst salesman, I think, that has ever had the singular displeasure of gracing a sales floor, and I aspire to never get better. I pride myself on the fact that my company and my representatives don’t sell merchandise to our clients, they guide them towards what they want, and if we don’t have it, we find it. We make it. We find someone to make it.
Gerald & June’s has been my dream for many years. Named for my maternal grandparents, I want this company to honor them in every aspect. We pride ourselves on honesty and an openness in our business. We conduct ourselves in such a way that our clients never feel pressured, never feel lied to. We pride ourselves on bare minimum mark ups and paying our staffing and contractors fair living wages. I make no more than my highest paid employees.
The MSRP on most jewelry products averages about 3.5x-4.5x retailer cost. We charge roughly 1.1x-1.9x our basic cost, because that’s what it costs to pay our taxes and our bills, and so that I don’t go homeless or starve.
I want this company to be a shinning beacon in the jewelry industry. If you ever have any questions, or if you would be interested in joining the team, feel free to shoot me an email, or give us a call.
