Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to every single person that helped make the benefit last night happen!!!
Thank you to all the volunteers for serving food, collecting money from the bake sale, cleaning up, and helping wherever it was needed!
Thank you so much to every person that donated items to the silent auction and bake sale. it was such a successful night auctioning off all the amazing items we received!
Thank you to everyone who came last night to help support Zac and Courtney. The night truly could not have been successful without all of you.
I could say thank you for hours for the amount of appreciation I feel, but I will try and keep it short. The amount of love and support that Zac and Courtney received last night truly brought a tear to my eye. There is nothing quite like the small town Iowa support for one of our own ❤️❤️❤️
Hey all! We're just a few short days away from the benefit! We've had so much fun planning this event over the past few weeks, and we can't wait to see the community come out to show their love and support to Zac & Courtney Hulst. The feedback and comments we've heard from you thus far have been amazing. We're continuing to be blown away by the generosity and support our communities have shown. Be on the look out for some silent auction sneak peeks! We'll be posting those periodically over the next few days for you all! There's so many great items! We hope to see you all on Saturday at 5 PM!
Amazing!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

We were able to drop off all the Go Fund Me money with Zac and Courtney today and the appreciation is just radiating from both of them. 💗💗
$6,000 total! It’s amazing. Thank you all for the support for them. It means SO much 🥹❤️
Prayers have been answered!!
Zac gets to go home tomorrow! He will continue speech and physical therapy closer to home and he still has hurdles to overcome but he has come leaps and bounds from a few weeks ago!
Praise God and those who were watching over him these last few weeks! 💕💕💕💕
“Got zac outside today for a little bit. He didn't want to come in when the rain, thunder and lightening started so we stood under the entrance and watched the storm for a bit! He enjoyed it so much!”
Fresh air and a good thunderstorm is just the serotonin boost he needs! 💞
Zac has been doing so good with all his therapy! They moved him to inpatient therapy this afternoon! Hoping 1-2 weeks. Paisley and Courtney are able to stay with him in this room!
He's in the prairie center on the 5th floor for anybody that wants to visit. Contact Courtney to see what works for them first! 🥰
4/07- Zac had a good night and slept well. His left cheek hurts but that's normal bc they had to move the muscle on that side. So talking and eating will be hard for a little bit. Hopefully start some PT today!
He hasn't complained of a headache or pressure!! He asked what the incision looked like but we can't see it bc its wrapped
4/08- Such a good day today! Zac did physical, occupational and speech therapy and all of those he did great at! He got moved out of ICU and in a regular room on the floor! Now from here he'll work on the therapy!
No estimated time yet on how long he will have to be there. Just see how therapy goes and how much he progresses.
Love getting these texts from Courtney! ❤️❤️
A few updates throughout this morning on Zac.
God is SO good. 🙏🏼
Zac’s surgery is scheduled for 9 AM tomorrow. They will take him down around 7 AM to prep!
After speaking with Courtney Sunday, Zac’s journey this past week has been nothing short of a miracle.
One phone call, one decision, one minute away from an alternate outcome. He had someone much higher watching over him that day. Someone far more powerful and capable of great miracles.
Thank you God. Thank you for allowing him to be here. I find so much comfort in knowing that he is in your hands. ❤️
Say a prayer for Zac tonight and tomorrow for a successful surgery and to help heal him of this pain.
Update: Zac has had a wonderful day so far. He's eaten so well today. His speech is so much clearer than it has been. He moved to a recliner which he is enjoying much better than the bed. He worked with therapy this morning and did great with walking to the bathroom. And just finished walking the halls, without taking a break. He even tried to run. Got to have Paisley snuggles and loved that 💕
“Dr. just came in and explained that he embolized 98 percent of the AVM. The Dr was very pleased with results and has Zac scheduled for cranial surgery on Wednesday. He will remove the whole AVM and any other remaining blood that is putting pressure on the brain.”
What a long day for Courtney, Zac, and their families. Lord, I ask that you wrap this family in your loving hands tonight. Help them find peace and comfort during these incredibly trying times. Continue to give Zac the strength he needs to push through. Allow the family to rest easy tonight after such a busy day. We ask all of this in your name Jesus. Amen.
Zac has just come back from his 2nd embolectomy. The nurse told us they were very happy with the results. They did have to go up through both groins. I wish I had the exact percentage of his embolism that was removed...from what I heard it was almost all of it. She did mention the possibility of maybe not having to do the skull surgery now...which we are praying so hard is the case. Until the Dr tells us we are just hopeful and we understand time can change things.
Zac is in so very much pain. The nurse has to press on where the cath went in to both legs every 15 minutes to make sure blood isn't pooling...so that isn't pleasant.
Praise the Lord for His many blessings!!
Zac just went into surgery. The procedure is approximately 4-6 hours.
Good vibes. Big prayers. And so much love and hugs to Courtney and their families. ❤️❤️❤️
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Zac’s embolectomy is tentatively set for 10:30 today.
Please pray pray pray all goes seamlessly! ❤️
Please feel free to invite people who want to stay up to date on Zac. I know I don’t have everyone invited so please add!

“Ok I might not get all these words right but a neurosurgeon was just in and tomorrow zac will have another embolectomy which is what he had the other night. Then they'll give his brain another few days to heal and they have him penciled in for brain surgery to do all the remaining repairs next Wednesday. I will get more details and better descriptions but it's crazy in here
Please forward to everyone and for more prayers”
Surgery will be tomorrow 4/1. Please pray for good outcomes and for the surgeons and doctors to help Zac to the best of their abilities!
Per Courtney, I’ve created this page to help keep friends and family updated on how Zac is doing day to day and with anything else that may come up in the future.
