Ya Hussain

Meta / Facebook recently inflicted restrictions and deleted a “Ya Hussain” flag (in Arabic, “يا حسين") which is in the memory of Hussain Ibn Ali A.S who was brutally tortured and massacred along with their family in Karbala over 1300 years ago in what is now present day Iraq.

The grounds of the deletion and restrictions was due to Facebooks terms on terrorism! Not only is the removal excessive but it is a total discrimination against all Hussainis!

Please, join us in sharing this post to show that we will never stop remembering Hussain Ibn Ali A.S.

We call on Facebook to amend the error & reassess the handling of stuff with respect to their community standards; to reverse what can be considered discrimination against marginalised people based on faith matters,

Hussainis have a right to exist, have a right to expression, have a right not to be labelled terrorists, Hussainis have a right to remember the passing of Hussain Ibn Ali A.S all year round, free from discrimination.
