For me Self-Reliance means ones ability to provide the basic needs of life for himself/herself, including his/her family if there is a family.

By basic needs I mean FOOD, SHELTER, CLOTHING AND EDUCATION(CLASSROOM OR SKILLS ACQUISITION)
Basic needs are the same irrespective of ones circumstances(Location, Gender, Age, Race etc.)

This is a page I have created with the sole aim of discussing issues pertaining to SEL-RELIANCE among we the participants on this page.

The discussions will focus on how we can become self-reliant, what we need to do to become self-reliant, the resources available for us to become self-reliant and a host of several self-reliant topics.

Any participant can suggest topics and ideas for discussion in the coming days.
