Our mission is to restore the hard-to-reach in Sanford, Florida with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Statement of faith
The purpose of this gathering shall be to glorify God. It shall seek to attain this end through the public worship of God, the preaching of the Scriptures, fervent prayer, Gospel-Centered community, consistent Christian living by its members, personal evangelism, missionary endeavor, and Christian education (Ephesians 1:5-14; Colossians 1:9-10; Matthew 5:16; 1 Peter 2:9-12).

The Lord was so gracious to us today!
Our church, along with Sent Church, our sending church, and a missions team from Missouri, had the privilege of ministering to a large group of inmates.
The Lord drew many to himself today! Glory to God!
Would you pray that the Lord would continue to bring people into these men’s life who professed faith to disciple them and help them grow in their faith?
Pray that the Lord would use these men to reach this prison for Christ?
We can’t wait for Save our City tonight! We will see you there tonight!

Lord, we ask for a mighty revival, that Your Spirit would move powerfully among us. We lift up those battling addiction, asking for Your freedom. Equip us, Lord, to be Your hands and feet, helping to save our city by sharing Your love and truth.
Father, we pray that hearts would be softened, lives transformed, chains of addiction would break and that many would come to know You through this revival.

Growing in the Fruit of the Spirit! 🍉
This summer, our amazing Freeway kids have been diving deep into the Fruit of the Spirit—learning about love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Each of them has memorized this verse, and we pray that it is hidden in their hearts, guiding them in every situation, whether at home or in their new school year. 🙏

Last Thursday, Traie brought a powerful message from Acts 3:1-10. In this passage, we see a man who had been lame from birth sitting at the temple gates, daily asking for alms—hoping for spare change to get him by. He was looking for a temporary fix, but he didn’t know that his greatest need was not financial; it was spiritual. He needed salvation in Christ. When Peter and John stopped, they didn’t give him what he expected; instead, they gave him what he truly needed—healing in the name of Jesus, which pointed to the even greater gift of salvation.
This truth applies to us today. We often seek solutions for our immediate problems—money, comfort, or relief—but our greatest need is always found in Christ. Only through Jesus can we receive true transformation, eternal hope, and salvation. As believers, we’re called to offer that same hope to those who are searching, even when they don’t yet realize their deepest need.

Tomorrow marks a bittersweet moment for our ministry. We will be holding our last service at the beloved Colonial Room Restaurant . Over the past four and a half years, the Lord has shown His faithfulness in this place.
We owe a great debt of gratitude to the Simoneux family. Pastor Arthur Gonçalves will deliver a heartfelt sermon, reflecting on God’s faithfulness and specifically thanking Michelle Simoneaux and Jason Simoneaux. Their unwavering service and hospitality have been a true testament to the work of Christ in the gospel.
Join us tomorrow for a special time of worship, thanksgiving prayer, and praise for all that the Lord has done. We will honor Michelle and Jason for their years of love and selflessness in allowing us to meet at this cherished and sacred diner.

Today, the Lord has graciously opened a door and answered our prayers. 🙏

Due to the growing number of attendees at our weekly Thursday night service, where we provide a free meal and preach the word of God, we had outgrown our current space. Through the Lord's guidance and many prayers, we have been blessed with the opportunity to move to the Salvation Army building.
We are deeply grateful to Major Don and his lovely wife, who share our heart and burden for the homeless and marginalized. Thank you for your shared vision and commitment to serving the city of Sanford. We eagerly anticipate the amazing work God will accomplish through this partnership.
Please join us in prayer as we transition into this new season. We firmly believe that every great work of God is preceded by prayer, and we are confident that He will continue to guide us, provide for us, and bless our efforts as we seek to serve His kingdom. Your prayers are invaluable as we move forward, trusting in God's provision and direction.

Goncalves Family - Pastor Arthur Goncalves @ Orlando Baptist Church
Pastor Arthur and Jessica have been married 11 years and have 4 children, Arabella (9), Caydan (8), Paisley (6), and Leonardo (2). Arthur attended Southeastern Bible College and looks forward to pursuing a lifetime of Biblical Academia. Arthur has been involved in full-time ministry for 11 years. God has given Pastor Arthur a burden to see people know, love, serve the Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 5 gives us the divine mandate to restored people back to God through our Lord Jesus Christ, that's Pastor Arthur's heart. Arthur currently serves faithfully as a Pastor at Orlando Baptist Church. The Lord has given Arthur and his wife Jessica a heart to reach Seminole country for Christ's name and God's glory.
Over the years the Lord has placed a burden on Pastor's heart for the city of Sanford and surrounding areas (Volusia & Seminole County). Arthur has served in numerous outreaches in our city and has come to the conclusion that the greatest need is not physical, but spiritual. To see hope again in our cities, Arthur is convinced it will only happen after prayer and the proclamation of God's Word (Acts 6:4) through the local Church.
Arthur and his family are praying that the Lord would use them to plant more Gospel-Centered Churches in our city and the surrounding cities of Central Florida. Arthur knows that before he can consider planting in our city or anywhere the Lord directs them to, he must first come to the Lord in prayer. He knows that He can do nothing without prayer. Arthur believes that prayer works because God works. If God will move in a powerful way in our city, Pastor Arthur is convinced it will begin and end with prayer!
Pastor Arthur is devoted to the teaching of the full counsel of God’s Holy Word and steadfast prayer. His heart is to lead others in a deep relationship with Christ through Biblical discipleship, Gospel-centered community, and fervent prayer. Arthur knows that without the power of the Holy Spirit he can do nothing, so he surrenders to the Sovereign Lord all that is His, knowing that Christ builds His Church, and our part is to be meekly obedient to the Lord’s commands.
