In Austria, the Lichtenfels Gymnasium in Graz launched the EcoPodcasts initiative under the guidance of Prof. Daniel Truppe-Bugram. Students from the 9th and 11th grade are creating remarkable EcoPodcasts. ๐
Inspired by the documentary film โ2040 - We Save the Worldโ and the โTED-ED Earth School,โ these students have delved into various climate change-related topics. Whether working in teams or individually, they express their creativity on subjects such as environmental protection measures, recycling practices, sustainable food choices, and combating ocean pollution. ๐

Highlights of the EcoPodcasts Project Multiplier Event in Portugal, organized by the Agrupamento de Escolas Camilo Castelo Branco ๐ฏ๐๐
Happy World Tolerance Day! ๐๐ค Let's take a moment to appreciate the incredible diversity of life on Earth. Just as ecosystems thrive when different species coexist, so can we thrive by embracing each other's uniqueness. In a world that celebrates differences, tolerance becomes the bridge to understanding and unity. ๐๐
Happy World Kindness Day! ๐๐
Let's spread love and compassion not only among ourselves but also to our beautiful planet. Small acts of kindness towards Earth, like reducing waste and embracing sustainable practices, can make a big difference. Together, let's create a world where kindness extends to every corner of our home.๐ฑ๐
The Agrupamento de Escolas Camilo Castelo Branco (AECCB) has published their next European Journal! It is a report about their acivities and developments that took place in the second half of the year 2023 in its member's institutions.
Besides the EcoPodcasts project, they are involved in many other Erasmus+ projects which you can find in the report starting on page 34. We are proud to have this school group as a partner in the EcoPodcasts project which is featured on pages 61 to 63. Doing justice to its multicultural approach, all texts of the journal are both in Portuguese and English. Feel free to dive right in! (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PUtnXWRzkvg435pINm7vvaw3PWDJq0Km/view?usp=sharing)
It is great to have a team that has so much experience with Erasmus+ projects as the AECCB and is so enthusiastic about the European values. We are already looking forward to the next issure of the AECCB Journal, where we will be able to report about our progress!
The second Newsletter (2023/2) of the EcoPodcast project is now available on the project's website: http://www.ecopodcasts.eu/cms/index.php/toolbox

We have been working non-stop since the start of the project and are proud to present the second issue, containing some the following contents:
A long period of virtual interactions among consortium partners led to the first face-to-face meeting in Malta during which the team managed to speed up its productive work together. Take a look at the Project Progress section to follow up on those outputs. In the section Project Publications you can find the published material which could be interesting for and useful to you.
We were able to organize the "Learning Teaching Training Activity" (LTTA) in Italy to broaden school-teachers horizon on the project in the form of a workshop.
Interesting for teachers as well as students to know: We launched the EcoPodcasts Platform (https://go.ecopodcasts.eu/) were you can find already published podcasts, the EcoPodcasts Originals recorded by our partner schools, as well as the "Teacher Resource Pool".
In the section Network and Synergies, the connections between the project and the relevant existing communities and initiatives are highlighted, as they have been continuously set.
At the end we want to direct you to our Social Media channels, so you do not miss any of our updates: you can find us on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Good luck with the project piloting phase! ๐๐๐

The last module of the Teachersโ training toolkit โReflection Guideโ provides practical guidance for applying reflection sessions in the classroom after each implementation phase of the projectโs curriculum.
This module was developed by REACH and can be found here: http://www.ecopodcasts.eu/cms/index.php/toolbox
School education comes from teachers and to prep them with everything they need to get students speaking about our environment we published our next module:
The module โUsing radio & podcasts in classโ provides a comprehensive online and offline guide on how to utilize the tools of podcasts and support students in storytelling and interviewing. Both modules (1) and (2) were developed by the University of Macedonia and can be found here: http://www.ecopodcasts.eu/cms/index.php/toolbox
Following the two already published Teacher toolkits we present the third one. The module โApplying design thinking and project-based learning in environmental educationโ intends to familiarize teachers with these educational approaches and offer them guidelines and examples on how to practically apply those. You can find it here: http://www.ecopodcasts.eu/cms/index.php/toolbox
Not long ago we were able to publish the Teachers' training toolkit on our website: http://www.ecopodcasts.eu/cms/index.php/toolbox
The module โEcoPodcasts Platform and Application Handbookโ provides an instructional manual of the platformโs basic features, with detailed instructions on how to use them and how to guide students and other teachers to be engaged, interact and upload resources and podcasts. This module was developed by the Malta partner International Integrity Foundation IIF, who also developed the module "Tips and Guides for Community Engagement".
On this special day, we want to thank all educators who shape the minds of tomorrow and inspire us every day. Thank you for shaping the future one lesson at a time ๐
Take a look at our practical guide on "How to create a podcast", edited by the team at the University of Macedonia in Greece with the participation of all the Ecopodcasts project partners, which is available on our website. The aim of the guide is to provide students with the necessary information on both the equipment needed to produce a podcast and aspects of the creative process.
In the infographic below, created by the REACH team, you can get an idea of the topics covered by the manual, focusing on two important aspects: 1) what is needed to create a podcast? and 2) the essence of podcasting. We believe that, with our guide, we can help facilitate the use of podcasts in class as well as a means of expressing concerns about environmental protection and climate change.
Download the guide and A4 posters of the infographic in our toolbox section (http://www.ecopodcasts.eu/cms/index.php/toolbox)! Feel free to send us your feedback and share it with any educator you think might like it!
Within EcoPodcasts Erasmus+ Project, we keep in mind the three R's - Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle - not just during the Secondhand September, but all the time!
