Tri-Amey
An engineer turned Triathlete who is following his passion in the field of triathlon and trying to excel in the sport .
I am also a national level volleyball player . A hobbyist Photographer and adventurous traveller who love to explore new places.
Trust the process and everything will fall in line . Registered half marathon as a training race in our home turf where most of my runs are in this route itself .
The weather was muggy though it was not that cold but it was 100 percent humid. The plan was to run as you feel and keep it around 9-9:30 pace per mile . First 5k was 29 min , 10km 59 min , 15km 1:28 , 20km 1:59 all are PR . I did slow down to put cold water on me at aid station but from mile 6-9 there was only one aid station and that made me slow down a little bit as it was 100 % humid . Till the time I reached 12 mile I was feeling great and pushed last mile and able to finish a PR time of 2:06 by 4 min . Could be more happier to do it in home turf !! Next stop a big one at same place .
Thanks tribe and my frnds/family who were the real motivator behind this !! . Couldn’t thanks more to my coach for my training plans and definitely he should be happier seeing me that amount of improvement in my run leg 🙌 and last who is imp person without her I couldn’t achieve what I am today !!!
Loving you was the best part happened in my life ❤️❤️❤️
❤

With this break I was able to achieve my professional goals with lots of ups and down . Here to my new beginning of another journey and I will be missing my training partners but what I got inspired is to do better everyday and try to be better version of me !!!. With this break I was able get more stronger mentally and I am ready to rock n roll.
On account of world bicycle day here I am with my little paincave setup.
Would be always grateful to my coach and all my tribe !!!!

TMM post !!
This was my 3rd TMM but almost 6th before it was SCMM .
After my shoulder surgery this was my first race and I had almost 2 months to train for . First 3 week I clocked around 120km mileage which was going smooth however severe acidic flux due to which I was down for major chunk of it .. due to which I was not able train properly as health is important over everything.
I just met coach and told him about it and told I can try to achieve it under 6 which was possible if my next 3 weeks were not wasted . Anyways I know all my are super fast and I know I am not going to get a pacer with similar approach . Luckily during the training Dr sir told that I also have a target of sub 6. I was happy atleast someone is there for whole marathon . Trust me running alone in marathon is another serious challenge so much of positive and negative vibes comes during the time that’s where company matter . Also Dr .sagar joined as well so we trio started very good .
7-8km/hour was the target for us and for first 26km we were together only clicking pics on sea link 😎 . I was on my Target pace to 7km per hour in later stage but last 2 hours of heat made little change in target .. I need to mentioned we waited almost 30 min for starting our race which affected the last 2 hours . Anyways I am happy with my timing if 6:34 with so less training . All I did with my guts and zidd made to the end and happily clocked PB of 28 min of TMM race.
Thanks to and who waited for me almost a hour at last 1km to cheer me on !! Luckily I have this type of guys around me and I am thankful to for that.
Another major part helped for this race is .in activ gel I applied one application I ran chafing free.
Though I missed meeting major of my group as I told they were fast but happy and satisfied with the result what I got with no cramps and no acid flux again ..
On to the next !!! Soon I will be back in TRI action once my doctor gives me green signal for my shoulder mobility !!!
2023 here I come !!!

Sports and injuries are always go hand in hand . How you tackle them is most important.
Every atheles knows that injury are part of the game . An Injury is not just process of recovery, it’s a process of discovery best within you .
Few years back I had diagnosed with a injury in shoulder due to overuse of particular muscle group which caused Tear of the anterosuperior labrum extending from 1 o’clock to 4 o’clock position which extended till 6 O’clock. Which commonly called as SLAP TEAR. This was caused by overuse of the muscle and it was mainly due to volleyball I played ( almost 8-10 years ) .
So after my Ironman southafrica I decided to operate it . Luckily due to powerpeaks tribe and our very own well known orthopaedic doctor help to diagnosed it and provided proper guidance and operated at by doctor Umesh Jadhav who is a shoulder specialist in arthroscopy .
Road to recovery is ability to heal it properly with a certain rehab process .
“When you can’t control what’s happening, challenge yourself to control the way you respond to what’s happening. That’s where your power is “.
It’s always hard to deal with injuries mentally , but I like to think about it as a new beginning. I can’t change what happened, so the focus needs to go towards healing and coming back stronger then before . You can’t control injuries, but you can control how hard you work to come back .
Would like to thanks everyone who are part of my journey directly or indirectly.
Finally getting back to action slowly after 2 months .
Passion that summarise all 😎
As monsoon is ticking in make sure you keep you and your cycle safe this monsoon . Here are some of the safety measures you can consider .
1. Quick drying jersey (preferably bright colors).
2. Rain jacket (preferably bright colors). One that fits in your jersey’s pocket is ideal.
3. Eye protection (goggles) to prevent water and dust from entering the eyes.
4. Headlight and taillight for improved visibility.
5. Phone and cash in plastic cover use a ziplock bag.
6. Use a wet l**e. This waxy lubricant stays on your chain for longer during wet conditions. The dry ones tend to wash away with the rain.
7. Lower your tire pressure. A reduced tire pressure will give you more grip on wet surfaces, as more of the tyre is touching the road. A good rule of thumb is to take out 10psi if you’re riding in the rain. 90-100 psi is a good place for a road bike.
8. Maintain a safe distance between the rider in front of you. Use hand signals to point out potholes, speed breakers, and turns.
9. Remember that there is lesser grip in the wet, which affects your braking and cornering. Braking distances are higher. So, break early and well in time to avoid unwanted accidents .
10. Use anti-chaffing gel incase of saddle soreness, irritation, discomfort.
11. Cary extra tubes in case of puncture. Also carry a whistle as it can be easily heard .
For have a saddlesore free ride this monsoon buy .in anti chafing activ gel. www.skineasi.com use my code AMEY15 for additional 15 percent discount.
“In this game, everyone needs a break to refuel, recharge, and jump back in full throttle”
It’s okay to take a break for daily routine it’s help to rejuvenate, refresh and more importantly u come back stronger after the break.
The years of training volume you put on your body result in lot of stress physically as well mentally . So one must be aware about when you should take a day off or a week just to spend time with frnds and family until you don’t have a proper coach like mine who can assess your workout volume and stress.
This process will help you perform better for your next training block .
Try it out !!!

Namaste is actually a form of greeting that originated in India. It translates to, “I bow to you”. But it is more than just a welcome greeting. It represents the warmth and amicability of Indians. It is also a form of showing respect and homage.

Every day, when I wake up, I feel energetic, high in energy, motivated to spread positivity. This pushes me to keep at it always. Health is the most important part of your life, if you work on it now, you will have a better life ahead. My fitness journey is that and so much more.
I began my running journey as a warm-up for my volleyball games, extensively during my college days. A 3-4 Km warm-up run was part of it.
Soon running became an exciting prospect and I was passionate.
The first event I registered was the Standard Chartered Half Marathon. My passion for running lead me to cycling and swimming too. This is how I started practising for Triathlon in 2017. Now I participate and practice Triathlon at domestic and International Levels.
This journey has not only given me my best life, but it has also surrounded me with the best people. When you socialise, you are always surrounded by good set of people that help make you a better person every day. It pushes you every day.
I would encourage people to follow your dreams because it's You Vs You. No one can stop you from chasing your dreams.
