Hey Breanna, what does ADHD look like in your house?
Why, thanks for asking, unnamed internet person.
Let's ignore the clutter in the back that includes makeup, a random tiara, a keyboard vacuum, and a TOOTHBRUSH, or the fact I scribble on my desk and dig holes in it as a way to fidget, and focus on the fact there were 4 bottles of syrup in my pantry.
Because once, sometime 3 months or so ago, someone told me we were out of syrup.
Now I can't get "I need syrup for the house" out of my brain.
Well, challenge ACCEPTED brain. I think this is 6 months+ of syrup here. 😅😅

Hey author friends! What are your new years resolution into your writing business?

Mine:
Write 6 more books this year
Grow my tiktok to 10k (this was my ONE goal I missed last year)
Get a few Vellas going
Write 1k words a day, or 30k a month.
Take advertising classes for facebook and amazon, and Photoshop classes
Go to a convention or two
Be consistent in posting on socials

I think I'm going to dip my toe into making premade covers. 😱

As I jog up the walkway, Josie looks up and wipes her blotchy face, rolling her eyes, pure venom emanating off her.
“Oh, my god. Could you go away, Levi? I’m a big girl, I can handle a prank. It’s not your fault I panicked.”
“Oh, can it, Shortcake. You wouldn’t nearly have had a heart attack if I’d done something different.” I sink down on the porch next to her, liking the way her warm thigh feels pressed up against mine. Nope, bad idea. Danger, danger Will Robinson…
“I ran over a cat during my driving test,” she mumbles into her knees, and I suppress the urge to laugh. It’s not funny.
“When was that, last week? Your mowing skills are lethal.”
“For starters, before two weeks ago I’ve never mowed a lawn in my life, and no, I took it after my sixteenth birthday…so over a decade ago. It made me freak out about hitting anything for a long time.”
“I’d like to point out those were feathers, not fur,” I jab, brushing the hair away from her face so I can see her beautiful hazel eyes. Danger, danger.
She rights herself and stretches her arms, and I try not to stare as her tank stretches over the swell of her amazing chest. Jesus, the things I could do—
She lowers her arms and stares off into space, probably thinking about the glassy glare of Mittens or whatever it was that traumatized her so bad. But, when she turns back to me, her eyes are regaining their mischievous sparkle, and I smile back.
“Truce?” I murmur, my eyes dropping to her lips. My body pays attention when she licks her lip and sets her hand on my thigh. She leans in, eyes closed, and bypasses my lips.
When she’s a hair’s breadth from my ear, the tickle of her breath makes me snake my hand to the back of her neck, and she whispers, “Never.”
I jerk back. What?
“What?!” I repeat, out loud this time.
“I said never. First you humiliated me in front of Barbie and her friend Bambi, then you acted like you were going to kiss me, now you’ve made me sob over a cat I killed over a decade ago. If you ask me, you’re begging for payback.”
She exits the stage by slamming her door in my face.
