I didnt get to meet this patron but i hope they know how much this meant to me and to the rest of the group. We really are making magic✨️💕

Just a few NPCs exchanging professional experiences

Nestor: What happened?
Tinka: Yeah, I feel both harrier and less hairy.
Nestor: I sneezed while reading a book?
Tinka: You're not sure?
Nestor: I'm not even sure which one of us is talking according to this picture right now.
Tinka: *punches self in face* Did I do it? Did I break the fourth wall?

Is it still raining?

Nestor the Cruel is an intrical part of this team. If this were Ocean's 11, he'd be Brad Pitt. ...now to just get 150 million somehow.

I have taken some time to process last weekend, which was amazing. I found myself coming down off a high on Monday, and here is why.

First of all, I get to be part of an amazing group of people, who come out to Fest to make it the best possible show ever. Second, working at Fest is kinda a dream job, as I do have this dusty degree in Theatre, and I get to use it sixteen time, seven weekends a year.

I am proud to announce that one of my friends, Clover the Curious, was nominated for the Cracked Cup, which is for the Best Fest Rookie for the season. Clover is someone that I have grown close too after meeting them at the Riddle Booth, encouraging them to audition with the RB, and getting to know them over last season. They have grown leaps and bounds, which is kinda of a pun, as Clover the Curious is a rabbit on two legs, with a crazy personality and a heart to match. I wish them well, and all the luck I can muster.

In addition, my riddle partner and best friend, Tinka Boudit, was nominated for the Big Picture, a very prodigious award at Fest among the Cast. The Big Picture is awarded to performers who have shown commitment to the four precepts of the "Big Picture" - Safety first, keep your performance patron focused, Do your character rather than be your character, and we are doing one show sixteen times rather than sixteen shows. Tink does this day in, and day out. She is among lofty company, however, as there are two former Keepers of The Flame (Lifetime Achievement Award winners), a former Cracked Cup winner, and several other fantastic actors. I would wish Tink all the luck as well, but she finds hers wherever she goes, literally. Also, I think she is gonna win, Stamp of Approval!

Finally, we get to the heart of this post. I became a member of The Sidequest Players this year after the Riddle Booth ended its historic 20 year run. We offer Riddles, jokes/puns, 100 % True Facts About Our Lord King Henry, and of course, Side Quests. Who knew that simple fetch quests would spark joy and interest among the Cast of Fest, enough that they nominated the Sidequest Players for the Bottomless Hat, as one of the Best New Shows out at Fest.

Incredible. Good luck to everyone nominated for all of the Cast Awards this year, whomever wins deserves it and the accolades that come with it.

We will somehow have to make it through the next three weekends without Query the Riddlemaster. This wonderful man might be the most experienced and still somehow one of the youngest ones on the team. We faired well, so fair thee well.

Friends - I have had a most wonderous time in the Shire of Shakopee at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. What a truly magical place filled with delightful people!

If you have the good fortune to visit the Shire before the month closes, be sure to visit with the The Sidequest Players at our booth near King's Arbor.

To those of you that spent time with me and the other The Sidequest Players, thank you! The honor you bestowed upon us by sharing your time was received as a most precious gift. To Tony, Peter, Brandon, Braidon, Isiah, Dredon, Andrew, Leon - and the many, many others - Thank You!!!
