ये भारत के किसान है, क्रिमिनल नहीं हैं। सम्मान और पुरस्कार देकर सत्ता खरीद लेने के इस दौर में यह आवाज़ उनकी तरफ से आई है जिनके पिता एमएस स्वामिनाथन को भारत रत्न दिया गया है। चौधरी चरण सिंह को भी भारत रत्न दिया गया है मगर उनके पोते जयंत सिंह अपने दादा की विरासत को नहीं समझ सके, मगर एमएस स्वामिनाथन की बेटी मधुरा स्वामिनाथन ने अपने पिता के काम और सम्मान का फर्ज़ अदा कर दिया। हरियाणा-दिल्ली की सीमा पर किसानों का आंदोलन जारी है मगर इस बार किसानों का सफ़र मुश्किल नज़र आ रहा है। मीडिया में आपको इसकी एकतरफ़ा कवरेज मिलेगी कि किसान पुलिस का सामना करते हुए दिल्ली में प्रवेश करना चाह रहे हैं। मगर उनकी मूल माँगों को लेकर कोई बहस नहीं दिखेगी। MSP गारंटी की माँग लेकर किसान अपने खेतों को छोड़कर दिल्ली आए हैं, वे उस फ़ार्मुला से MSP की माँग कर रहे हैं जिसे भारत रत्न एमएस स्वामिनाथन ने पेश किया था। भाजपा दावा कर रही है कि पिछले दस सालों में सर्वाधिक MSP दी गई है। क्या ये दावा सही है?

People had to cross the Singhu border between Delhi and Haryana on foot on Tuesday as police blocked the movement of vehicles in view of a farmers' march towards the national capital.
