I was recently asked by a local reporter about campaign funds and partisanship in school board elections. Below was my response. For those in this community that have generously supported our campaign, whether monetarily or through volunteering, we can't thank you enough. Please get out and vote on April 5th!
Fundraising has certainly increased in school board campaigns in recent years because communities have begun to pay closer attention to their local elections. The pandemic revealed to many that local leaders have a tremendous influence over decisions that impact our children, families and community. To clarify, 95% of my campaign donations came from individual donors and less than 5% came from a political party. I would gladly accept donations from the Democratic party as well so that I can get the word out to the WSD about who I am, all that I have accomplished in the past year and all that I look forward to doing. I want to be a part of providing superior educational opportunities to every student and family in this district. I will also continue to restore community wide dialogue to reflect voices of all families in our district. I want to help create a district that attracts, retains and supports great teachers and staff. Lastly, I want our district to advance forward with strong academics, arts and athletics to promote exceptional student outcomes.

I know I’m not the only one that loved this pizza while growing up, right? 🤣 I hope your Saturday is off to a great start. We’re excited to get out and knock on doors in the coming weeks. We’ve made a lot of progress this year and I’m looking forward to serving this community with your support and your vote on April 5th.

God bless America! I’m reminded of the song I hear at Lambeau. Signs by The Five Man Electric Band. “Sign, sign, everywhere a sign…”. The big signs will be popping up all over Wausau in the next few weeks! Thank you for your support and your vote on April 5th.
We need your support and your vote on April 5th. To pick up a sign, send myself, Jim or Joanna a message, or leave a comment below. Signs can be picked up at 2903 Glendale Ave. Wausau and at the Ruffi Law Offices located at 627 Jackson St. Wausau. We have many volunteers who can deliver signs as well so don’t be shy!

I'm looking forward to climbing this mountain with all of the amazing people, families and students in this community. Like climbing a mountain, you have to take it one step at a time.
