Today was supposed to be the first ever Fail Like A Boss event, unfortunately, the world’s circumstances has led to its cancellation.
However, we’d like to spend today celebrating the success we’ve achieved thus far!
We’d firstly like to thank you as our supporters for the encouragement throughout the year, and eagerness to see Fail Like A Boss in action.
We’d like to thank our host and speakers for their excitement to be a part of Fail Like A Boss: Shinjini Sur , Dr. Teal McAteer , Sean Karoonian, and Geeta Chopra

Dear Boss Supporters,
We are sincerely heartbroken to inform you that Fail Like A Boss will be canceled due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 virus. Rising concerns for the health and safety of the public in Ontario has led to McMaster canceling all discretionary events including Fail Like a Boss Speaker Series next Wednesday, March 18th.
On behalf of the executive team, we sincerely thank you for your support and excitement to Fail Like A Boss. Please note, if you have purchased a ticket for the event, you will soon be receiving a full refund.
Fail Like A Boss was created as a way to deliver a message we believe in: we as individuals, and as communities, must pursue passionately our goals and purpose without fearing the risk of failure, as failure itself can be a catalyst toward success once we learn from it. Through developing Fail Like A Boss, we have used this belief to organize this event rapidly these past three months; fail fast to succeed faster.
This new cancellation serves as a reminder, that there will always be risks that prevent success when taking on a new venture. Though this particular obstacle was external to the control of our team, this is an opportunity for us to remain true to our core values to remain resilient and stay driven. Our team is incredibly thankful and feels rewarded for the success and support we’ve received thus far. In the spirit of Fail Like A Boss, we are seeking an alternative delivery method in the wake of recent events. We hope that you stay updated on our next steps.
