The design tools I can not live without and use on the daily.
Sometime these 5 simple items are overlooked and I always forget to include them until I created a short checklist.
My web design workflow can vary depending on the project, but the general workflow follows these 5 phases:
1. Research and Planning: Gather information about the client, target audience, and goals for the website. Create a sitemap and wireframes to plan the structure and layout of the site.
2. Design: Create the visual design for the website using tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or Sketch. This includes creating mockups for the homepage and key pages, as well as designing any necessary graphics and icons.
3. Development: Convert the design into a functional website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Use responsive design techniques to ensure the site looks good on different devices and screen sizes.
4. Testing and Debugging: Test the website on different browsers and devices to ensure it functions correctly and fix any issues that are found.
5. Launch and Maintenance: Launch the website and provide ongoing maintenance and updates as needed.
This workflow can be adjusted, refined and tailored to suit the specific needs of the project.
How we run our daily huddles:
1. Wins From Yesterday
Let’s celebrate as a team
2. What’s Up?
News from yesterday and today that is relevant to the group - share anything important about opportunities, meetings, travel and news from clients.
3. Stuck or Need Help
Where are you stuck or what do you need from someone – specifically what is it that you need? SOMEONE NEEDS COMMIT TO HELP!
4. KPI Update
Reported based on progress toward completion. Example: Project x – x of %
5. Top Priority Today
The one – most important thing that I commit to this team that I will get done today. Review your task list and pick the ‘one’ most important thing that you must get done – and that is impactful to the outcome you desire
TODAY I WILL…
Just thinking about design
Your website does not have to be complicated but you do need one.
Being too busy is a myth.
Everybody has the same amount of time each and every day.
The main reason why people leave their job is because they feel they do not have the tools to complete the job. As a leader make sure you team is equipped to get the job done.
Organization is key.
Always remember..
1. Your process with evolve over time.
2. Empower your team to help out.
3. Use templates whenever possible.
"ACTION beats anxiety
MOTION beats meditation
WORK beats worry”
Simplicity is the Ultimate Sophistication
Can't get out of my head that viral video of a guy saying..
“How big would you dream if you could not fail?”
Damn that’s good.
Respect cannot be demanded
Respect is earned
And earned through the hard work you do single everyday.
Clarity must come from you. You have to create our own roadmap and be your own compass.
Instead of calling it winning and losing, start calling it .
Sell the value of your work and NOT the hours worked.
’s 2 rules to win:
1. Do NOT quit
2. Don't make the same mistake twice
It’s really that simple.
Don't rely on clients to complete the goals or targets you set for your Business. Set goals that are measured by what YOU can accomplish.
Someday is NOT a day of the week.
