Island Pony Models
I sell primed model horses and do custom model horses by request.
NaMoPaiMo 2024 is complete!!! 🎉 This model was painted based on a Chincoteague Pony named Archer’s Gambit (Puzzle). I have always enjoyed how dark of a chestnut he is and was really happy with how well it turned out! 🎨🐴
I didn’t have a ton of time for a ton of painting last year but hopefully I will this year! My first project is my NaMoPaiMo model! Any guesses at which Chincoteague pony this model horse will become?
We are so excited to be included in this wonderful gift guide!
If you are looking for a custom model of your favorite horse or pony, I do take commissions. Send me a PM with your project or contact me through my website. 🐴

The Beebe Ranch of Chincoteague, Virginia - the home of the real-life Beebe family, Misty of Chincoteague, and her descendants - is currently in danger of being redeveloped. To support the Museum of Chincoteague Island's ongoing efforts to save the Beebe Ranch, Breyer is offering a special Gold Misty and Stormy test run set via eBay auction, with all proceeds to be donated to the Museum's fundraiser. The 3-day auction will run through this Saturday, April 22nd at 1:00 PM EDT.

Flirtation has been sold and with the sale of the other two models a grand total of $163 dollars has been donated to the Museum of Chincoteague Island's Save the Beebe Ranch fund! Thank you all for your interest in these models.
*Update: Flirtation has been sold!
2 out of 3 of my custom painted Chincoteague pony models have found new homes. After the Etsy and shipping fees we were able to donate $100 to the Save the Beebe Ranch fund! 🎉
The last model I have available is this beautiful black and white Chincoteague mare named Flirtation (who lived on Assateague in the 1970s). She is a Breyer classic sized model that is completely hand painted in acrylics and one-of-a-kind. All her proceeds (minus Etsy listing and shipping fees) will go to the Museum of Chincoteague Island's Save the Beebe Ranch fund.

Meet Flirtation, a Chincoteague Pony who was born in the 1970s and lived her life on Assateague Island, VA until she passed in 1997.
I have always loved pintos and one of my childhood dreams was to own a black and white one. I'm sure that's why I have always had a special place in my heart for Flirtation, her unique markings and jet-black coat have always drawn me to her. I was so excited to get my hands a model that seemed to do her justice and I greatly enjoyed seeing her come to life.
As far as historical Chincoteague ponies go, she is one of my all-time favorites!
A special shout-out to The Colorful Chincoteague & Chincoteague Pony Pedigree Database for having reference photos and information.
I have been doing quite a few custom model horses this Summer so I haven’t had a lot of time to spend on my own projects. Hopefully I will have time in January and will get some of them posted!
In the meantime, I have been learning some new skills and tried my hand at digital painting this week. This painting is of the 2022 Chincoteague filly out of Misty Mills x Surfer’s Riptide. It is based on one of the photos I took during Pony Penning week in July.
