Thanks to all who came to the meeting tonight. It was great to see so many new faces and lovely to meet you all. Rita's website is here http://nutrimatters.co.uk/ with the case study and recipes she mentioned. I'm definitely going to be making that cheesecake!!

More exciting news. At our March meeting we will have a reiki practitioner coming along to share some useful self help techniques and offer mini treatments. More detail nearer the time but the date for your diary is 26th March 6pm-7.30pm.

We will have a nutritionist who is very knowledgeable about endometriosis coming to our January meeting. I will post an event with more details in the next few days but this is a heads up to put 30th January in your diary if you'd like to come and find out more.

I'm looking at arranging guest speakers for support group meetings in the new year. Are there any topics that people would be particularly interested in hearing about?

Our new support group meeting location is The Dales Centre Library on Sneinton Dale.

We will meet on the last Thursday of each month (except December) with our next meeting being on Thursday 28th November from 6pm-7.30pm.

The library is closed to the public on Thursdays so we will have sole use of the space. The library manager is lovely and very supportive of our group meeting there. She is going to sort out a selection of books which might be of interest and anyone with a library card can check books out on the night. If you don't have a library card and you want to join, bring some ID and she'll get you signed up.

It's a really nice space and there's even a lovely garden at the back so next summer, if we want to, we can sit and chat in the sun.

There is some parking at the front of the centre and on street parking on the surrounding streets (just check you're not in a permit only space) and it's a 15 minute bus ride from the city centre on the 43 bus route (nearest stop is Edale Road).

Exciting news, I've just come out of a meeting to look at a new meeting space and it's perfect. I'll update with full details of location and meeting dates later but we have an accessible and comfortable space which I think everyone will really like.

People who have attended or plan to attend support group meetings - would an earlier start work for you? Maybe 5pm or 5.30pm

Unfortunately tonight's meeting has been cancelled due to illness.

It's so good to see all the coverage about endometriosis on the BBC today. Awareness and understanding is so important
