Maj. Gen. Michael Talley, commanding general, had the honor of tossing the coin at the start of the San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game at the Alamodome. Talley also administered the oath of enlistment to 15 U.S. Army recruits as they begin their Army journey before attending Basic Combat Training. Four of the recruits will be returning to San Antonio to attend Advanced Individual Training at MEDCoE.

118 student athletes representing 64 high schools were chosen for the football game, which showcased top local high school players. This was the 45th anniversary of the game.

Recruiters were on hand, providing information about opportunities in the Army. The event was a great community relations engagement for telling the Army story. To learn more about a career in the Army visit GoArmy.com
