Dierks Fellowship of Christian Students
We meet every Wednesday and Friday and 7:45 in Mrs. Bailey's room.
Some more fun from the Dierks and DeQueen FCS Christmas party!
Merry Christmas to everyone from Dierks FCS! We just wanted to share with everyone some pictures from the Christmas party that DeQueen FCS invited us to attend last Thursday, December 19th. The party started with some Christmas Caroling at DeQueen’s nursing home and ended with both FCS groups celebrating the birth of our Lord! From eating, to singing together, to hearing a great devotional about the real reason for Christmas, to playing Bible Trivia, there was something fun for everyone! We ended the night by watching a young boy and girl open presents that were bought for them through DeQueen’s FCS members. We want to thank DeQueen’s FCS members, Mr.Sweeten, Mrs.Mills, the Cowling family, and everyone else who helped make this party happen! But most importantly, we thank God for a Jesus who was born, who died on the cross, and who rose again three days later! Merry Christmas everyone! 🌲
Our first meetings! Sept. 25th is Meet You At The Pole. Be there for a blessing and seek God's favor on a new school year!
We are meeting every Wednesday Friday morning 7:45 @ Mrs Bailey's room.
As the school year quickly draws to an end, thanks go to all those involved in making this a blessed year in FCS! Thank you for the gift and for your prayers. Make it a safe and productive summer in His kingdom work. God bless you all!
There will be a prayer circle in honor of the Mathis/Pennington family Friday at 7:45 in the front of the high school. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to show their support for the family in their time of Grief. Please feel free to share
Always a great time at FCS! Huge thanks to Clyde Mitchell for the devotional and Brenda Ward for breakfast! In these pictures, you can see lots of interaction between all of the students present. FCS is a great opportunity for Christian students to have a support system and friends with the same faith! If you haven’t had a chance to come to FCS, we would love to have you!
Brent Talley brought a great devotional on Friday morning, and Brenda Ward provided a delicious breakfast! Always so grateful for any volunteers!!
Charlotte Gibson did a wonderful job on the devotional this morning! All of the students also enjoyed the cookies and orange juice Charlotte Gibson provided! We didn’t have as many students as usual, but God is able to move even in the small groups!
Jerry Mounts did a wonderful job with the devotional yesterday! Students were able to learn about the history of Christianity in the United States and why Christians should continue to stand up for God. Jerry also brought his Bible collection and allowed students to read what past presidents wrote about God. And as always, Brenda Ward did an awesome job on Friday’s breakfast!
FCS is blessed with a great community that takes part in numerous ways! Clyde Mitchell is always present and ready to help in every way. Wednesday, the train prevented almost all officers from being able to make FCS on time, but Brother Butch was at FCS with breakfast and stepped up with a devotional when the officers couldn’t. God has truly blessed this group and everyone involved. Thank you so very much to Brother Butch and everyone involved.
Great devotional from Brian Pounds at FCS yesterday morning! Huge thanks to Brenda Ward and Brian Pounds for breakfast yesterday! It’s great to see so much participation from the community and school!
And just like that, we are back to school and FCS! Thank you- Kenny Fant for bringing the devotional this morning, Brenda Ward for taking care of breakfast, and Billie Rue Faulkner for taking care of drinks. We had a great turn out, and we hope to make FCS grow even more this semester!
The Dequeen and Dierks FCS had a great get-together Friday night! The Dequeen FCS worked to provide Christmas presents for a family along with both groups going to carol at a Dequeen nursing home. The night ended with a party at Cara Cowlings home. It is such a privilege that these students get to fellowship and go into the community together! Huge thanks to Kelly Mills for getting everything organized!
Last FCS before Christmas Break! Huge thanks to everyone who has supported us this semester and helped FCS to grow! Anyone who wants to bring a devotional or help with breakfast or anything else next semester, let our president Perri Lowrey know!

Great turn out of 48 people this morning at See You at The Pole! Great fellowship along with great volunteers! Huge thank you’s to Jaron Tipton for doing the devotional, Larry Fry for bringing his guitar to lead a song before the devotional, and Brenda Ward along with Dierks First Baptist for making sausage biscuits and getting enough drinks for everyone. The students and teachers of Dierks High School are on the right track to serving the Lord, and FCS prays that the school starts a revival for God!
Thank you to Clyde Mitchell for taking care of breakfast and Tim Johnson for coming all the way from Dequeen to give the devotional this morning (along with bringing devotional books for the students to pick up if they want)!
Jerry Mounts did a great job this morning speaking to the students about continuing to stand up for God in school and everyday life. Huge thank you to Jerry and Brother Clyde Mitchell for taking care of breakfast again this morning!
Today, I want to mention some of the people that don’t get recognized enough and thank them. Mrs. Bailey allows FCS to continue on every year by opening her room on Wednesday and Friday mornings at 7:45. Brother Clyde Mitchell has taken care of the breakfast foods for every FCS meeting for years and even now when we don’t have a person that’s volunteered to take care of the breakfast, he took care of it again this morning. Greg Faulkner, a teacher at Dierks, has been coming to support us too. Without the support from these people and all the other adults involved in FCS, we would not have any students getting to hear about the one true God at Dierks. A huge thank you goes out to these people and the students that have been giving devotionals and coming to listen to them.
Huge thank you to Josh Cooley for the devotional and Megan Welch for taking care of breakfast this morning!
