Dr. Kirstie Raimoโ€“Moore joined Endless Mountains Veterinary Center, PC - Montrose in June of 2023. We are extremely proud to have her on our team and of the one-year anniversary milestone that she will soon celebrate with us.
Dr. Kirstie is a 2023 Graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical training at the University of Minnesota โ€“ College of Veterinary Medicine. Kirstieโ€™s local ties led her to do some shadowing with EMVC earlier in her Vet School journey and then again for an externship during her clinical year. This experience would lead to Dr. Kirstie joining EMVC as a full-time small animal, general practice associate vet in the Montrose location.
Dr. Kirstie has family in the area and resides in Binghamton as a newlywed with her husband. While not tending to her patients, Dr. Kirstie enjoys spending time with family and friends, movie marathons and card games with family.
The Montrose team has adopted Dr. Kirstie, and they enjoy working with her very much. Co-workers say that โ€œDr. Kirstie is a delight and has been very eager to learn any and everything she can. Sheโ€™s great with clients, sincerely cares about her patients and tries to be the very best for every one of them.โ€
Dr. Kirstie said that when searching for a place to work after completing Vet School, she had not considered working in general practice, but after spending some time with Dr. Stephen Laudermilch and the EMVC support teams, she thought that she would receive mentorship and guidance that will grow her as a veterinarian. And so, her story with EMVC began.
Kirstie states that she wanted to become a vet for a large part of her life. She considered a career in people medicine, but ultimately decided that vet med is where she belongs! With her career in full swing and her skills list growing, Kirstie states that she would like to continue to develop and grow her surgical skills. One thing that she says she has learned since graduating from vet school is that you develop your own way of doing things that may look different than how you were taught and itโ€™s okay! Kirstie says that with patient care prioritized โ€“ deviations from textbooks and labs is a natural progression and sheโ€™s enjoying watching herself grow and develop her style.
EMVC feels very blessed to have Dr. Kirstie Raimo-Moore on our Veterinarian Team โ€“ she brings energy, kindness and her passion for care to our clients and co-workers.
Congratulations on your One Year Milestone, Dr. Kirstie โ€“ we are proud that you are a part of the EMVC Family!

Endless Mountains Veterinary Center, PC welcomed Dr. Anna Confer to the team as a Mixed Animal Veterinarian in June of 2023. Anna has worked so hard in her first year out of Vet School and we are so proud of her accomplishments and of the Veterinarian that she is becoming! Upon her one-year anniversary, we wanted to highlight Anna and her journey.
Dr. Confer (Dr. Annie as we call her), graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine (PennVet) after completing her undergraduate degree at Penn State. After spending some time with EMVC as a Veterinary Assistant through our Summer Hire program, Dr. Annie found that she enjoyed the atmosphere and decided to join us Full Time.
Dr. Annie and her husband met while at Penn State while pursuing their Animal Science degrees. Dr. Annie then went on to Vet School and rejoined her husband in the area last June. They were married shortly thereafter and now reside permanently in the area. They both enjoy working with and showing their dairy cows and love all things Penn State (WE ARE)!
Dr. Annie has been such a wonderful addition to the EMVC Family. As a Mixed Animal Veterinarian, she spends time in the small animal clinics as well as on the road on our ambulatory Large Animal Service. You may find her on the farm, in our Athens or Tunkhannock Small Animal locations. With her kind smile and welcoming personality, Dr. Annie has become a favorite of her co-workers. โ€œDr. Annieโ€™s warm smile and compassionate care are noticed by us and by our clients. She works hard to provide the very best care,โ€ say Annieโ€™s workmates.
The choice to join EMVC was driven by her experience with the staff and the clientele while here during a summer and by the unique opportunity to practice true mixed animal medicine โ€“ she states that few practices offer the ability to do both small animal medicine and surgery and large animal ambulatory medicine. Her favorite parts of the work are small animal surgery and large animal reproduction. In the future, Dr. Annie would like to hone her large and small animal surgery skills as well as continually learn new things.
Dr. Annie states that she made the decision to pursue veterinary medicine in high school. She knew that she wanted to be involved in agriculture, specifically the dairy industry and that led her to vet med. Her interests broadened in veterinary school, and she became interested in many facets of the industry. When asked about what advice she may offer to current veterinary students, she stated to try to find good mentorship and staff to support you in your first years. With those in place, becoming a new vet is not nearly as scary as it seems like it will be in vet school. She recommends pursuing what makes you happy in vet med, and if youโ€™re like her with broad interests, do not limit yourself. Annie remarked, โ€œI was afraid to pursue mixed animal medicine as it is a lot to learn, but I could not be happier that I did.โ€ When asked what else Annie might like to share, she stated that โ€œI am very much looking forward to getting to know the community and working with clients and their animals.โ€
EMVC could not be happier that Dr. Annie pursued her dream as well โ€“ we feel blessed that she chose to be a part of our Family and we look forward to all that is ahead of her to accomplish.
Congratulations, Dr. Annie Confer, on your One-Year Milestone, we are so proud of you!

Endless Mountains Veterinary Center- Owego is sad to announce the retirement of Dr. Roberts. Mark Roberts started working at the Owego Vet Hospital on August 1, 1995. His special interests included surgery, rabbits, pocket pets and ear problems. Mark was known for his dedication to his patients and their parents. He often contacted folks when he was on leave to check on his patients. If you were his patient, you would have had all his attention. Mark and his family will continue to reside in the area. We are planning a celebration of his years of service to EMVC, OVH and the residents of Owego and surrounding areas.

The public is welcome to join us 4-5pm on Sunday August 13th at Pavilion 4 in Hickories Park, behind Owego McDonalds. There will be a box for cards.
