This week our guest is Flux Psyche!
“Flux Psyche is a gender-fluid artist from LA. They abandoned their dream of becoming a singer when they went to UC Berkeley for their Psych BA, but started experimenting in GarageBand after graduating. They started posting poorly mixed music to SoundCloud in 2019 as a hobby, and then started things more seriously upon getting mixed feedback.
They released their first single and their EP to Spotify in 2020, and finally started garnering followers and industry connections. Their EP “Drifting" seamlessly blends trip hop, dream pop, goth pop, and synthpop influences with gloomy and ethereal tones and textures. Digging deep into their own personal experiences, Nat created a narrative piece about struggling through emerging adulthood while q***r and mentally ill.
Looking to the future, Nat hopes to keep pushing the boundaries of music and creating vulnerable and intimate narratives.”
