Phew! We've been really silent of late, sorry!

Lots going on behind the scenes though as we work with Torbay Climate Action and Cool Climate to kick-off some exciting engagement this autumn.

There's a brand new environmental youth voice coming to Torbay!

Cool Climate is a new initiative in partnership with Gaia Coffee /Giving and Torbay Climate Action that aims to develop the voice of young people across Torbay regarding climate change & environmental engagement.

It's a scary time; news channels are filled with doom and gloom, social media is awash with pictures of devastation and the Earth feels under threat like never before. The impact of Covid-19 on communities and ecosystems can be seen across the world. So what can we do? How do we organise a bright and sustainable future? How can we find a better way?

Cool Climate is providing a space for young people aged between 13-25 to come together and join the conversation around where to go from here. Starting 30th September, for 5 weeks, we'll be opening the doors at Gaia coffee in Paignton from 4-6pm for drop-in chats & ideas sharing to gather all that inspiration we know young people around Torbay have.

Then, from November, we will be hosting workshops at Gaia on all sorts of topics, from climate jargon-busting to clothes mending to coffee making like a pro. In fact, we want you to tell us what you want the workshops to be and help us create the direction of Cool Climate for the future! Think BIG.
We invite all who are interested to come along and see what is possible. There will be refreshments and even the chance to learn barista skills for yourself!
