I’m heading out today to the fabric shop to pick out a special backing fabric for this very special Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt. We’re thinking about a pretty red calico print and possibly something to add a border to the front. This quilt is extra special. My friend’s mother, Mrs. Tula, hand pieced it many years ago. Mrs Tula was a very dear lady to me. It’s going to be a little hug from her as I attempt to honor her memory in the work I add to it to get it finished. I’ll post a picture of it when she’s all done!! 🥰
