"I’ve loved reading Margaret Wise Brown’s books to my kids and was excited to write a song inspired by her works. My family particularly loves her book, “Little Fur Family“ and there a song that the fur parents sing to their fur child at the end that I’ve always played around with the melody for. I’m excited to share the musical version of that song!"

Come one, come all, to Town Hall Seattle for this Saturday’s The Bushwick Book Club (Seattle) show or join online. I’m excited to share my song about the Count of Monte Cristo. Hope you can make it!!

for Original music inspired by Alexandre Dumas’ The Count of Monte Cristo: Vince Martinez.

Vince Martinez is a Seattle-based americana singer/songwriter originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico. Vince is a longtime member of the Bushwick Book Club Seattle and is known for his honest and straightforward music.

'I’d always wanted to read the book but never got around to it. This show was the perfect opportunity and I had plenty of notice to get through the long book in time. I liked the movie from the early 2000s and always wanted to read a work of Dumas’. Something about the classic revenge story that I originally found appealing.' - Vince

My song is inspired by Cleary’s work, The Mouse and the Motorcycle. Theo and Leora know all the words and if the show wasn’t so late I’d have them join me on stage for it.
