Hello to all our Members past & present and their families. Our supporters, and the wider Wexford Male Voice Choir family in Ireland and around the world.

On this day in 1941 the newly established Wexford Male Voice Choir stepped on to the stage of the old Theatre Royal to give their very first public performance to the people of Wexford.
In this, our 82nd year we would like to take the opportunity to thank all who have been associated with the Choir over the years.
We remember fondly all our deceased members for the contribution they made to the Choir through their years of service.
We are forever indebted to all those who have gone before us for helping to make the Choir the institution it is today.
We also would like to extend our sincere thanks to our loyal followers & sponsors for their continued support since 1941.

We are looking forward to returning for a new season of rehearsals in September with a number of public engagements already on the cards including the return of our annual festival concert in the magnificent Spiegeltent in October. And we very much hope to see you there.

As always new members are always welcome to join.

Everyone at Wexford Male Voice Choir is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of another one of our most loved members, Peter Murphy.
Peter first joined the Choir in 1959 and sang in the First Tenor section where he was a mentor to all those who sat around him.
He was renowned for his sweet tenor voice and his singing of songs like The Impossible dream and Isle of Hope and tears were legendary within our ranks. Peter was always on hand to sing when requested and his love of all things music was evident to all who met him.
We were proud to have Peter as a soloist for many years and his performance of the great Russian folk song Kalinka will forever be remembered as one of his outstanding performance pieces.
Peter also had a brief spell as conductor of the Choir in the 80's and often joked that we could always call on him if we were in need.

The entire Wexford Male Voice Choir family extend our sincere condolences to Peters family and friends at this very sad time.
A gentleman always to all who knew and loved him,Peter will be sorely missed by us all.

Everyone at Wexford Male Voice Choir is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of one of our most loved members, Nickey Lacey.
Nickey joined the Choir in 1989 and sang in the Bass section until his retirement in 2016.
Nickey was a regular attendee at our concerts and engagements and loved nothing more than an after show sing song with his friends. We were delighted to have Nickey join us at this years Service awards and Christmas party in December where he was the life and soul of the party.
Nickey was renowned for his Bass voice and his singing of songs like Cuchullainns Son, Hard Times and Nicky Rackard will never be equalled.
The entire Wexford Male Voice Choir family extend our sincere condolences to Nickeys family and friends at this very sad time.
Nickey will be sorely missed by us all.
May his gentle soul Rest In Peace.

Its with great sadness that we learned of the passing of our great friend and colleague Mr. Liam Gaul.
Liam's association with Wexford Male Voice Choir stretches back many decades. In the early years he was often called upon to accompany the Choir on his Accordion during various local engagements.
In more recent times Liam acted as Master of Ceremonies for our Annual Festival Concert, a task that he carried out with huge pride and professionalism each and every year.
Liam could always be called upon to recount stories of places the Choir had performed and people that had passed through the ranks.
Oft in the Stilly Night was one of Liams favourite pieces that the Choir performed and during his preparations for concerts he would always ask if it was in this years show. We were proud to make a presentation to him in 2016 in the Choir Hall for his many years of service as MC to the Choir and also to perform Oft In The Stilly Night especially for him.
All of Wexford Male Voice Choir mourn his passing and he will be remembered fondly as a great Musician, Historian and MC but mostly as a great friend to us throughout his life.
We extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends at this very sad time.

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of our great friend & colleague Mr. Jim Whelan.

Jim joined the choir in the early 1990's and sang in the 2nd Tenor section going on to serve the Choir with distinction for almost 30 years.

Even after his retirement from singing Jim was a loyal supporter to the Choir and could often be seen in the audience making sure that the Choir was hitting the right notes.

This was Jim accepting his 25 year service medal from our then President Mr. Dick Crosbie RIP in 2011. A very proud moment for Jim and his family.

We would like to take this opportunity to extend our sincere condolences to Jim's wife Kathleen and family at this very sad time.

May his gentle soul Rest in Peace.

A very special evening at Wexford Male Voice Choir Hall tonight as the Choir bestowed the Honour of President to Mr. Marty Robinson.
Marty joined the Choir in 1972 and has been ever present since then. Throughout Marty's 45 years service he has served the Choir as Chairman, Secretary & Treasurer along with serving on several committees over the years.
Marty's father William was founding member and stalwart of the Choir for many years and the link to the Robinson family continues to this day.
We would like to congratulate Marty & wish him every success in his role as President.

Pictured below are President Marty Robinson receiving a presentation from Chairman Billy Quirke.
