Last night Laverne had a baby girl!! She delivered her all on her own during the night. We woke up this morning to@our dog barking and ran out and was met with this sweet calf walking around.
Mama looks really great and is so protective of her and loving. When baby makes any sound she runs to her.
And now we work at helping baby get some milk from mama.

I don’t have a degree as a teacher. But I have everything I need to equip me to be their teacher. Jesus, love and a whole lot of patience.

Today I worked all day at making home made ice cream and sauces for your ice cream cake. I thought of you all day and the joy you bring to our lives. I saw you out working, coming in to take our son to the doctor and then go back out to organize our chickens. You enjoy celebrating quietly with your family and all I want to do is shower you with gifts and throw a big birthday bash. You always love just being with us and that’s what I love about you.

Happy birthday you’re amazing and we love you!

It’s not been a sunny spring but I’m ready to jump into the ocean and summer.
My summer bucket list includes:
- boating with our friends and family
- fishing and loading our freezer with whatever we are blessed enough to catch, and have some good fish taco nights
- go paddle boarding with friends
- tube down the River
- swim in our pool
- go to
- tube with the kids
- beach and lake days

This may be my last photo of Tulips in our field until next year.
Who am I kidding… now the fun begins again.
I am already looking at new varieties of Tulip bulbs to plant for next year, plus other flowers.
We are about to top our Tulips this week also which means taking all the flowers off the top and leaving the stem so all the good nutrients goes down the stem and into the bulb.
Our goal is to produce more tulips and who knows maybe we will be selling our own Tulip Bulbs one day. 😉 🌷

When I planted these pink Cosmopolitan Tulips I had a vision to host a Long Table Dinner in the middle of them.
Don’t you just love when you see the vision come to life?!

I was so excited for spring dresses this year… and our weather hasn’t given me many chances to wear them. I feel like we are headed from winter into summer. But on the few days we’ve had some sun or at least less rain, I’ve got to wear my dresses.

BTS of every successful event is a great team. We are so blessed to have family who also have a passion for events and love to help. Feeling extra grateful today for all our family and staff who help us to make these special occasions unique and fun for our guests.
I’ll be sharing more from our long table dinner in the Tulip Field this week.

This was the busiest Mother’s Day I’ve ever had. We had 1500 people attend our Tulip Fest that day and take home thousands of cut flowers to their loved ones. We saw families making new memories and plan on making our event an annual trip. This brings my heart so much joy!

I couldn’t ask for two better people to spend the day hanging out with my kids while I got to serve our community than my mom and grandma. They made their own special memories together!

I also am so blessed by my sister who’s been helping us for over ten years at our events. She drives up island every weekend with her family to help us.
She’s got such a giving spirit and beautiful loving heart.

If you keep scrolling you’ll see the three little monkeys who made me a mama. They are my favourite people and who I love spending every hour of every day with. I’m the one who’s blessed by God for being surrounded by and raised by incredible woman and to be entrusted to raise these three babes.

I’m glad we got out and made a new tradition of doing a Mother’s Day photo. Capturing these special moments means so much to me.

I am celebrating my 36th Birthday today!!
I woke up at 6:30am which I rarely do because the sun was shining and I couldn’t wait to go outside and walk in our Tulip Field. These flowers have brought me so much joy this past year along with so many other things that I never thought I’d do.

I’m taking these moments to sit and swing with my little guy, go for walks at night with my daughter and our ducky’s and snuggle in bed reading with Jack.
I felt like we all pushed hard, worked long days and hours to get our event open and now we are taking it all in.
I am appreciating the journey of getting places more and more and doing it alongside my husband and kids has been the best.

BTS of every business, project and dream are the hours of planning and work.
These are the moments we don’t show a lot of and yet they are worth remembering and showing off.
We’ve been planning Tulip Fest for a whole year and it’s crazy to think that we are two weeks in and already planning next years event. These things don’t happen over night and there are stages and preparation that needs to be organized months and even a year in advance. It’s worth it when I see families experiencing our event and making memories with their loved ones. 🌷🌷🌷

Swimming lessons began this week for everyone in our household including the ducklings. 😆
Twice a day we get the bath tubs out and let them play for five minutes. It’s really incredible how they naturally know how to swim. And watch out if you’re sitting in the splash zone, you’ll end up soaked. 💦

I’m getting ready to host my first long table dinner and it’s been a couple years since my last one.
This one is going to be so beautiful and unique as it’ll be in our Tulip Field surrounded by a rainbow of colourful flowers.
I finally get to wear one of my spring dresses. I may need some help choosing which ones! Check this one out

Over the weekend we hatched our first ducklings. I have officially become a “Mommy Duck” or “Duck-ma.”
I’ve been watching YouTube videos for weeks, reading blogs and trying to know all I could about these little darlings.
We’ve hatched five ducklings but so far only 3 have made it. It’s hard to see these little ducks work so hard to get out of their eggs and then loose them. But that’s also life on a farm with animals and livestock.

Stay tuned this week to watch our ducklings start swim lessons. ☺️

We made it!! Our first weekend of Tulip Fest. We had some hiccups we overcame, and jumped over some hurdles to get here, but we are so proud of the event we’ve created for our community.
Our three kiddos have been incredible helping to make, create and dream up many aspects of this event and it’s been so fun to do this as a family. I can see how this has sparked a creative, entrepreneurial spirit in each of them.

One of my favourite games we made for Tulip Fest was our Tulip Bowling Alley!
I wanted to lay down fake grass to help with the noise, plus make it look bright. We made flower boxes for the sides and cut faux grass on the top and then drilled some holes to place the fake tulip bunches in. It turned out better than I dreamed!

Celebrating 7 years with our Handsome Jack!
He’s hilarious, tells wild unimaginable stories, loves the game “Would You Rather,” and always laughs at his jokes. I really love how he’s getting into Lego more and building whatever he thinks up; mostly spaceships or jet planes.
We are so blessed by Jack and thankful God entrusted us to be his parents. I’m excited for the many more adventures Jack will take us all on.
