I love home progress photos. Can you believe how far our 1960’s kitchen has come in less than two years? And this is the original kitchen!! 🤯 I did not get new cabinets. But you know what I did do to save money but still feel like the kitchen was “new to me”?
-Added shaker trim to all the doors -Primed and painted them these warm colors.
-Replaced old hardware with new unlacquered brass hardware to make it look old. I love how the patina is coming along!
-Added two Ikea kitchen islands for seating and more storage (and to hide my trash can 🤗)
-Added an antique dresser for character and wood tones
Still to do:
-DIY countertops
-add a backsplash
-line all cabinets and drawers with wallpaper for a cute pop of pattern! 💕
What would you do to the countertops? Try one of those marbling epoxy kits or put a vinyl contact paper over top? I’m torn.
Baby girls room is getting better and better with each detail added. The scalloped border is almost finished and it didn’t cost me anything extra!
Btw…I did NOT enjoy painting those closet doors pink. It took multiple hours to get in between those slats AND two coats. I’ll be keeping the pink for a while 😅💕😍
Thanks for joining my DIY page! I’m all about sharing my before and after photos of our home renovations and updates so here is one corner of our living/sunroom before and after 🤗. Painting the walls white and adding curtains made a world of difference!
