Public Advocate Jumaane Williams Council Member Crystal Hudson, and Council Member Lincoln Restler attended the gala and presented proclamations to this year’s honorees: Bernell Grier former Executive Director of IMPACCT Brooklyn, Mark Ginsberg FAIA, LEED AP, and Celeste Morris, founder of MorrisAllsop Public Affairs.

The app utilizes data science and artificial intelligence to provide critical support to women and new parents during the first 52 weeks after birth. The app is designed to provide mothers with personalized recommendations and risk assessments on everything from nutrition and exercise to mental health and sleep.

The PR industry has a diversity problem, and ’s annual lists are a stark reminder of how much work still needs to be done. Two years ago, Hold the PRess called attention to the lack of diversity and representation in Observer’s annual PR lists. We find ourselves in 2024, once again disappointed by the glaring underrepresentation of Black talent and Black-led agencies in their latest PR Power list.

When all of our work isn’t celebrated and amplified, the systems of oppression continue to thrive. A united front is the only way we can create real change. In continuation of our long-standing commitment to advocacy and diversity, we’re proud to stand with our colleagues in calling for meaningful change and greater representation of Black talent and Black-led agencies.

January is about to come to a close in a few hours. I’ve been using the month to plan long term strategies for my awesome clients and plan content for this page.

Full transparency when I realized I haven’t posted on this timeline in so long I was mortified, but then I saw this quote and wanted to share! Falling in love with the process has been pitching, planning, resting and everything in between and I’m grateful for what I learned along the way.
