BZI is proud to partner with to be able to offer Youth Engineering Summer Camps this year, supporting over 1,000 future innovators to get their start. From BZI’s CEO James Barlow:

Bring the whole family this Friday, March 15th to the BZI headquarters for food and celebration. Get up close with Trackzilla, Innovacast, and MezzMaster 200 as they prepare for deployment on mega-projects across the country at the first-ever Construction Innovation Parade. A caravan of 7 equipment-carrying trucks will drive through Cedar City from Innovatech to Main Street, past BZI Steel on Airport Road, and finally to Kanarraville where we’ll end at BZI headquarters.
BZI and Innovatech are showcasing our new equipment, see Trackzilla, one of the world’s largest forklifts; Innovacast, a brand new system for on-site concrete wall casting; and MezzMaster 200, the latest version of our telehandler attachment for lifting roof and mezzanine panels. Witness the future of construction at this first-of-it’s-kind event!

What does it take to make the impossible possible?

When people look at Trackzilla, they see the impossible. This breakthrough monster machine telehandler has dimensions that push industry records in height and lifting capacity - something that wasn’t possible before.
Like all incredible achievements, the delivery of Trackzilla was a product of “Team-Sport”. We forged a strong relationship with Xtreme Manufacturing and pushed the limits of what’s possible together. We could not have achieved Trackzilla's success without them, and we place a high value on our partners.
Innovation is the core of InnovaTech. We work with BZI to continuously improve our products and look for new opportunities to make steelwork safer, simpler, and more efficient. There is a better way.

BZI Chief Operations Officer, Thomas Harker, weighs in on wall systems. Wall systems have essentially been made the same way for decades, requiring tons of precast concrete to be formed offsite, then hauled to the project, or exposed to weather and other hazards on tilt-wall projects.

We like to think there is a better way. Although our company is known for steel er****on, we are also innovators and love challenges, we seek beyond status quo!
We see walls differently and have revolutionized steel er****on with innovations that radically improve wall panelization systems. We are reimagining how walls can be built on site and with less space, enabling a more efficient and safer process.
By embracing challenges and investing in diverse competencies, we have invented an entirely new segment in steel er****on that brings more economical, simpler, and safer wall-system installations. No one else builds walls like we do.
BZI Chief Safety Office, Jesus Cadena shares his thoughts on safety in construction. It’s a daunting task to oversee, and even more challenging in the face of changing market conditions and massive workforce scale.
Many would keep the status quo when it comes to safety. At BZI, we don’t shy away from challenges. We stay sharp, pivot, and embrace them head-on.
How?
Last year, we hired over 500 new team members and invested heavily (roughly 7K per person) in safety training before they ever entered the field. The investment paid off. We lowered our safety ratings for EMR (experience modification rate) and TRIR (total recordable incident rate), while working on more complex projects than ever before. We also brought these projects to completion in record times. Safer doesn't have to mean slower.
