It was early in the pandemic and my family was pretty much trapped inside our apartment 25/7 in NYC. Schools closed. Gyms closed. Parks closed. Everything closed.

To pass the time and keep our creative juices flowing, my daughters (Hope & Makena) and I started making videos. We called them Kid Breaks. We did gymnastics. We played games. We did fashion shows (this was my favorite!) We made cookies. And we of course did yoga.

One day the girls invented SINGALONG YOGA. Where one person sings and the others do yoga. It was an instant hit. This was one of our first Singalong Yoga Videos. Makena sings. Hope does the yoga.

Thank God for these little 5 year olds. I could have never made it through the pandemic without them.

Stress comes in all shapes and sizes. But most of the time It’s not the big stuff. It’s all those little things, the micro stressors that feel small, but when they start to add up life can become overwhelming. And many are self inflicted…

Like a bill that needs to be paid. You can play it. You have the money. You even put it out in plain sight as a reminder to be paid. But it just sits there, in the envelop on the counter, day after day. Been there. πŸ˜•

Or a dirty wine glass on the table. For days. You’ve managed to load all the other dishes into the dishwasher. Twice. But this one glass, you just can’t make it happen. So it sits there. Yep, me again. πŸ˜• πŸ˜•

Or an Airbnb that needs to be booked. The dates are set. You have the plane tickets. You have friends counting on you to book the place. But you never pull the trigger. Instead you troll Airbnb day after day, watching as places get snatched up by others. This one was ridiculous. πŸ˜•πŸ˜•πŸ˜•

It’s Monday. Don’t let these silly micro stressors burn you out. Handle 3 things right now. Just 3. Your future less stressed, happier self will thank you. ✊🏽
