The Raven's Nest Mess

Good evening everyone, the game night is going great, we got some new game mats for the wargamers, and as some of you know we also have game mats available for other games like card or board games.

These mat are 48"x72", pleanty of space for fantacy, Sci fi or galaxy far far away games. Two mats, double sided dessert and green fields.

Are you looking forward to Christmas already? Get your family signed up for our Messes North Pole Tours! Each child will get to complete 4 Christmas themed activities, get a present AND family photos with Santa! 🎅

Bar hours for the months of July and August will be:

Monday / Tuesday: No regular bar hours

Wednesday : 1600-1800

Thursday : 1500-1800

Friday : No regular bar hours

These hours will go into effect June 29th to September 4th.

Please note the following when looking to purchase tickets:

· Tickets are $30.00 each for Mess members plus one guest.
· Two additional tickets may be bought per member at a cost of $40 each
· Tickets are on sale during regular bar hours and from 1100-1200 in the Mess. If you cannot get to the bar to purchase tickets, please email the Mess Manager, Brooklyn
· The deadline to purchase/reserve tickets is 07 Oct.

Big thank you to everyone who attended East Coast Night last night! It was great to see everyone back in the mess and we’re looking forward to more successful events in the future!

Side 1: Bear and Raven represent both messes, with the raven walking on the left side of the bear as per the CAF Drill Manual with glowing Northern Lights to see the coin throughout the year.

Side 2: The northern AOR of Team North are represented in white for the snow with the three stars, red for the strength, to represent all the units and detachments.

March Break bar hours:

16 Mar Wednesday: 1600-1800
17 Mar Thursday: CLOSED
18 Mar Friday: 1500-2000
23 Mar Wednesday: 1600-1800

25 Mar Friday: 1500-2200 - Bears Den TGIF

The bar will be closed Thursday 17 Mar to help support the PSP Snow Castle event.

Bar hours today start at 1515!

Mess will reopen this week to the following regular bar hours:

Wednesday 1600-1800
Thursday 1600-1800
Friday 1500-2000 (TGIF 2200)

**Opening at 1500 is dependent on staff availability**

There are new restrictions in place during this time which are:
· Not permitted to move from one table or group to another
· Not permitted to gather at a table or in a group with more than 6 persons

Please remember mbr:
· Must be masked when not seated
· Must sign in when entering the mess
· Must be able to provide POV in requested
· Must use the enter and exit
· Must social distance and use hand sanitizer

***Please do not come to the mess if you have any symptoms***

PSP will be re-evaluating the hours and restrictions as the COVID-19 situation evolves in the NWT.

Please note Ravens Nest Messe will not be open this week and will reopen for regular bar hours on Wednesday 12 Jan 22.

Happy New Year!

The mess will be open on Friday Dec 3rd and Friday December 10th from 1500-1600 to members. It will be closed to members at 1600 to accommodate Holiday Functions.

Grey Cup Party December 12th at 1600.

The mess will also be closed From Dec 18th-Jan 3rd.

Bar will be closed on Wednesday November 24th.

Bar hours for Raven’s Nest members on Friday November 26th 2021 will be from 1500 to 1630 to accommodate the Bear’s Den hosting their TGIF/Welcome event.

NEW** Guests in the Mess

Members will now be able to invite a guest to the Mess which can be someone other than a spouse. It should be reminded to members that guests are the responsibility of the member.

At this time guests in the Mess need to be of drinking age (19 yrs. in the NT), no children will be allowed currently due to health measures. This will be looked at again in late fall and an update will be provided to the membership.
