Helene don’t scare us! Had to get a cut in before this rain shows up but the Webb powered right on through and we laid down some pretty good stripes for the cloudy lighting.

The dream team! We’re about to turn this front yard into a putting green! Scaled down to .5”, got some seed down, and water water water. Bout to get this alpha Bermuda mix getting gorgeous in this late summer heat!

Well. ADHD gets me again. Didn’t have this on the agenda for yesterday but here it is 😅 didn’t get a before pic before I ripped everything out of our catch all closet in the hallway. But we went from that 1 sh*tty 12” wire shelf the builder put in to 4, 20” deep shelves on a track system I can adjust to different size or even add more. Heavy duty anchors are holding em to the walls cause there’s only one frickin stud on that wall and it’s not even on center 😑 so all of our counter top appliances will go in here and we’ll be able to see now with some sweet magnetic rechargeable LEDs. Next is the pantry, the other hall closet, then our “linen” closet in the master bath 💪🏽 small projects at a time and never know when my brain is gonna decide to do em 😅

Mornins with the youngin, after moms at work and before Oaks up, are always fun. We both get our go juices, we watch a movie, call , Hux t***s and Thor snores on the couch. Let’s see what today holds!

Hand painted by yours truly and homemade by Xena, my Xtool M1(don’t tell her she works for free, she wouldn’t like it) while she works, I paint, or make bowls, or tend to youngins. It’s truly a blessing and a lot of work to be a one man company, rewarding and stressful all at the same time. These are made for 1/8” ply and are plenty hefty without weighing your tree limbs down too! Theyre stainable/paintable or you can leave em just like this! Totally up to you!

Working my butt off to finish getting ready for the Fall Festival this Saturday behind Alabaster City Hall along Buck Creek! Check out this beautiful Ambrosia Maple slab I’m planing down to thickness to make a few charcuterie boards! I’ll have boards, pens, some lasered items, and of course bowls! I’m looking to bring roughly 50-75 bowls with me looking for a new forever home. Y’all come out for a day by the creek and look for me!

Y’all get with me directly on these cause, as they’re quite customizable, they’re probably going to be quite difficult to put up on the site and I’d like to offer more avenues to give y’all what you want instead of 2 or 3 basic designs!

This came out so much better than I thought it would(if we’re being honest) and I’m stoked Mrs Fike loves her new sign for her room!

Todays project that left the aftermath from my last post! Been experimenting with the ole laser again after a long hiatus. Now that we have a new baby at home, I’ve still been turning, but set it and forget it are the words of the hour! Got about 20 bowls to get finish turned before the fall festival and I’m gonna let the laser work the entire time I do! These mandala projects are truly awesome. I’ve made a couple and experimented with a couple more but these are truly a pleasure to make and get out together. I had a blast with this one and ended the night with cutting out a little 4 piece dinosaur puzzle for my (almost) 4 year old tonight and he named it the maple syrup monster 😂 no idea why. Be on the lookout for some mandala style projects to hit the at the very soon! I’m bringing back the lasering dynamic to the business as well as woodturning! Let’s rock y’all!

Not exactly what I bought my for, being that I’m a cop and all this is usually on my shoulder. But when you just don’t have enough light at the lathe , this sucker comes in handy for sure! The Elite magnetizes right to the banjo of my REVO1216 and offered just the light I needed to sand this little red oak bowl all the way to 1000 and throw some sanding paste and tung wax finish to it, really bringing out all that beautiful grain.

Well… you can kinda get the picture. But I can say that running your miter saw and cutting all the pallet slats in the same 45 degrees means you won’t have the right amount to finish the project tonight. 😑 shoulda done this in the morning when I had a full night of sleep. Stupid mental error. ANYWAY I’ll retrieve some more tomorrow I suppose and get to kicking ass and finishing these! Can’t wait to see how they look on the customers home!

Damn near every night I’m off I thoroughly enjoy testing my products before they go out the door. Know that when you buy a product from my page there’s no bs. I tell you it’ll hold a bag a popcorn, and my big butt ain’t eatin mini bags, it’ll hold a whoopin bag of popcorn. When I tell you there’s not a bowl anywhere on earth that’s like mine? I mean that too. Every one of these bowls has a story. Where it came from. How I got the log. What I did to harvest it and how I created it. Everything here is genuine and handmade by me. I’m a one man operation aside from every once in a while when my son joins me to make a pen. When you buy a bowl you get me more efficient equipment, better sandpaper for better finishes, and ultimately better bowls. Once I get perfect pictures and it up on the page, this one will be ready for you to enjoy a big ole bowl of popcorn while you watch your soaps before bed.
