Morgan Moore is a Supervisee in Social Work practicing under the supervision of Vanessa Cheshier, LCSW. Morgan brings previous experience working with children and parents, including neurodivergent populations. She has a background in attachment-based neuroscience using bottom-up strategies to rewire the brain to regulation and connection with play, expressive, and sand tray therapies as well as cognitive, psychodynamic, and somatic approaches. Morgan believes in connection over compliance and that children do well when they can. She is also a fellow at Va-LEND studying to provide interdisciplinary support to children with neurodevelopmental disorders and their families, working toward her Applied Educational Neuroscience certification to support neurodivergent children access their educational needs, and does outreach as a Consumer Reviewer for the Autism Research Program through CDMRP. Morgan is also familiar with unique challenges of service members, first responders, and their families. She is here to work through a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, parenting, relationships, and stress.
