This Sunday (5/6/22) in Oostende! Metamorfosen, a musical performance by Balder Dendievel with Michèle Delagrange, Immanuel Boie and new music written by Julia Emmery, Siebe Thijs, Benjamin Windelinckx, Emile Daems and myself!

Graag nodigen we u uit voor deze bijzondere première van I SOLISTI NextGeneration Artist Balder Dendievel.

Hij brengt in zijn voorstelling "Metamorfosen" muziek, woord en zandkunst samen tot een muzikaal-literair geheel over verandering
en de zinloosheid van verzet daartegen.
Tekstfragmenten van Ovidius, herschreven door MakerSpace-artiest
Michèle Delagrangeworden op scène tot leven
gebracht door Simone Milsdochteren verweven met muziek
van Benjamin Britten en vijf nieuwe composities voor fluit,
hobo, klarinet, f***t en percussie. Dit geheel wordt grafisch
ondersteund door live tekeningen van De Zanderling - Zandkunstenaar Immanuel Boie.

De combinatie van muziek met zand- en woordkunst brengt
de mythologische inhoud naar een nieuwe dimensie, in een
voorstelling rond een thema dat vele eeuwen overstijgt.

Thanks to this wonderful initiative by Roomservice vzw, my work Solitude was performed (among many other amazing compositions) by 3 (!) Belgian top ensembles: Kugoni Trio, Desguin Kwartet, and Caloroso, conducted by Gys.

Take a walk in the woods and feel the connection between the dancing daffodils, the shining stars and the sounds of nature on this beautiful text by William Wordsworth (1770-1850).

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, or golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line

Zindering - Zaterdag 14 mei 20u en zondag 15 mei 15u in de Sint-Pauluskerk in Antwerpen!

Na 8 intensieve weken sloten Ebert Rens en ik afgelopen zondag ons interim-dirigentschap af bij Jeugdkoor Cantilene. Veel dank aan Luc Anthonis om ons hierin het vertrouwen te geven, want ik heb er enorm van genoten en vooral veel kunnen bijleren!

Als afsluiter leiden we zaterdag 19/03 14h00 Cantilene op Koren voor C(H)ŒURS. Komt dat zien!
